Submission content
Posts generally lacking any content will be removed. Posts or comments which do not relate to Kitchener or the subject within a thread in any way will be removed.

Doxxing
Zero Tolerance.
The release or suggested release of personal and identifying information is not permitted. Any posts or comments suggesting the ability to personally identify another user will be removed at the discretion of the moderators and the user releasing the information could be subject to ban and further reporting.

Local businesses - Advertising
Debate surrounding local business is welcome. If an owner or local business entity wishes to engage in the community, posts regarding local business will be allowed, however, advertising for local businesses, without any engagement from the poster (assumed to be the business owner/operator) will be subject removal at the moderators discretion.

We will do our best to communicate with people when taking action on a thread or posts so that the people involved might better understand our reasoning for those actions.
Please understand that we are just as human as everyone else. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we'll try to minimize those occurrences. Also understand that we might not be able to respond immediately, sorry about that. We will try our best.

Harassment, discrimination or hateful remarks
Zero Tolerance
Posts or comments which do nothing but dismiss others and repeatedly accuse them of unfounded accusations could be subject to removal and/or banning.
Don't Troll. Trolling does not contribute to the conversation.
Personal attacks/comments towards other users will be removed and could result in banning.
Insults based on religion, race, sex, sexual orientation, gender, age or political beliefs will be removed and could result in banning.

Do not editorialise link post titles
When posting a link, the title of the link must be used exactly, in order to avoid slanted editorialising and biasing. Minor clarifications may be added with [], like to expand upon a location or person's name that might be ambiguous. E.g. Changing "Aissa to run again for Regional Chair" to "Local Businessman Jay Aissa to run again for Regional Chair despite losing twice before over the LRT". The prefixed part is neutral, but the suffixed part makes the tone of the title decidedly less neutral.

This is an effort to maintain the privacy of individuals and consideration for those affected. It is also an effort to deter false claims and reduce the possibility of abusers manipulating the goodwill of people trying to 'help' find their victims.
