Upgrade from 1070 Upgrade from 1070
Question

I want to upgrade my 1070 and I don’t know what to choose. I think a good option would be 4060 ti because I want to stream and play in 1080p, I was thinking of a 4070 super too, but I won’t be using all it’s power. The prices in my country for a 4060 ti are around 380 usd and for a 4070 super are about 740 usd, so there is a little bit of a difference. For reference I have a Ryzen 5 5600x and a 520w PSU and a mATX case.

Question

Hi All,

new to reddit, so unsure if this is the right forum. I'm in australia where electricity is cheap (for me) and graphic cards are very expensive.

I built a nice gaming machine a year or so ago for the family that i want to use for ML. I chose wrong and put an AMD card in thinking they would catch up to Nvidia re AI.

So now i have the budget for two 3080ti's (second hand) or one 4080 Super

Assuming i have a power supply that can run either.

Should i go for the two GPUs or One bigger one? I can't seem to determine if pytorch will be happy with multiple GPU's especially 3080tis (apparently the 3080's can't work together but the 3080ti's can?)

i'm using colab at the moment, my tensors will be f32 i think. i'm not making text or image models just LSTM for finance data
