You need 120 points to unlock all Eras Teams. This is a big grind but would be fine if your progress didn't reset at the end of a season. By the time you unlock all teams, your progress resets. New seasons should provide new content, not take away things you already unlocked.
2 common issues that are crazy to exist a full year after release:
-
if i do subs or matchups in the pause menu, a lot of time it breaks the game. This NEVER HAPPENS online, but i dont get to play all the wonky teams that me and my bro do, so im thinking the matchup/ sub glitch relates to when we have weird teams???? it doesnt seem to happen as often when we play regular "play now" teams....
-
in the 4th quarter last possession and during free throws the camera goes all wonky and i cant see even though i have actions. (such as inbounding the ball or shooting the free throw). Usually a play is called and when i do inbound the ball, there is cursors on the court and everyone is standing wierd(for the play)
if this is expected, what do i do when the camera just doesnt care about the game and zooms in on a random player? THIS ONLY HAPPENS in the fourth quarter: there is NEVER plays called during the game unless it is 4th quarter and im about to win, if i dont mess up? is this suss? pls help.
ALL STAR TEAM UP
Hey, I'm trying to figure out if the MyPlay (Play With a Friend) has any kind of end results screen where I can see both the final score and the PlayStation/Xbox gamer tag of the opponent. Could anyone check and share a screenshot of where that info can be found?
Much appreciated!
Who makes these rosters how is that possible
I guess it’s because they don’t want anyone to quit? It doesn’t matter whether you’re winning or losing, They use your AI teammates against you to and it doesn’t matter cuz everything is predetermined and it’s unplayable. Not fun whatsoever I don’t understand it.
Hey guys, so I mainly play 2k on couch play with my roommates. We play a lot, pretty good, sometimes do online stuff, but mainly against each other. In terms of Play Now offline mode, should I stick to difficulty based (we usually play HOF/Superstar anyway) or try out one of the Risk Rewards? I've seen the risk reward charts comparing them to each other, but what about about comparing it to difficulty based? I'd be interested to see the green room difference between medium risk reward and difficulty based on Superstar.
We used to play all-star team up on, the play now online menu in 2k24 and almost the last decade.
It seems like they fully removed it this year, what's up with that?
How do we play with 6 of us online, that was our favourite 3v3 game mode. (2 ai on each side)
do you know any fix in like Nvidia control pannel or something specific in NBA 2k25 graphic settings to reduce stutter in online games? like my PC is capable of running the game in 120 fps offline. in online it caps at 60 fps but even then I get stutters. every 2k has been like this. but is there any detailed settings to turn off to reduce these stutters?
Update: I Run the program as Administator now and all of a sudden I have few stutters that are unavoidable. but running the game as admin ultimately fixed my problem in Online mode games.
NBA 2K25, the latest installment in the popular basketball video game series, brings with it the much-anticipated player ratings. These ratings attempt to reflect the real-world skills and performance of NBA stars. However, every year, some players receive ratings that fans and analysts deem too high or too low. In NBA 2K25, a few players seem to have been overrated based on their most recent performances. Let's take a closer look at the five most overrated players in NBA 2K25.
5. Ivica Zubac–82 Overall
Ivica Zubac has long been a steady contributor for the Los Angeles Clippers, consistently playing a key role as their starting center. His ability to defend the paint, rebound, and finish around the rim makes him a valuable piece. However, in NBA 2K25, Zubac's rating of 82 seems a little too generous.
While Zubac is a solid player, he isn't elite in any one area. His scoring, defense, and rebounding are all good but not exceptional. Players like Isaiah Hartenstein, Nic Claxton, and Jalen Duren are rated just slightly lower, yet they have similar or, in some cases, better stats in crucial categories like rebounding, shot-blocking, and defensive impact. Zubac's consistency has been rewarded with an 82 overall rating, but realistically, his performance suggests he should be rated closer to 80.
4. Damian Lillard–89 Overall
Damian Lillard has been one of the league's premier point guards for years, known for his deep shooting range and clutch play. However, in NBA 2K25, his rating of 89 feels too high, especially after a somewhat challenging season as the second option with the Milwaukee Bucks. His scoring dropped significantly, and his overall efficiency took a hit, reflecting his adjustment to a new role alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.
When comparing Lillard to other point guards like De'Aaron Fox or Jamal Murray, both of whom had strong seasons but are rated slightly lower, it's clear that Lillard's reputation might be keeping his rating high. Fox had a breakout season, and Murray helped lead his team to playoff success, yet Lillard's rating remains higher, despite his dip in production.
Lillard is still a fantastic player, but a more fitting rating might be closer to 87 or 88, especially when compared to other elite point guards in the game.
3. Victor Wembanyama–91 Overall
Victor Wembanyama, the highly touted rookie, had a remarkable debut season, showcasing his unique blend of size, skill, and defensive ability. The French star dominated both offensively and defensively in stretches, earning the Rookie of the Year award and putting up strong numbers for a first-year player. However, his 91 overall rating in NBA 2K25 seems to be more reflective of his potential rather than his current impact.
Despite his undeniable talent, Wembanyama led the San Antonio Spurs to just 22 wins, one of the worst records in the league. His shooting percentages, especially from three-point range, could use improvement, and he still has a lot to learn in terms of decision-making and consistency. Ranking Wembanyama above established stars like Ja Morant and Jimmy Butler feels premature, as these players have proven they can lead their teams deep into the playoffs.
Wembanyama's rating should be adjusted slightly lower, perhaps around 88, until he solidifies himself as a superstar capable of elevating his team's success.
2. Kyrie Irving–92 Overall
Kyrie Irving remains one of the most talented and skilled point guards in the NBA. His handles, shooting touch, and ability to score in clutch moments are unparalleled. But in NBA 2K25, his rating of 92 seems too high when considering his current role on the Dallas Mavericks, where he plays alongside Luka Dončić, one of the league's top players. Being the second option has reduced some of the pressure on Irving, allowing him to be more efficient, but it also means his overall impact on the game has diminished slightly.
When you look at other guards in the 90 overall range, like Tyrese Haliburton or Ja Morant, it becomes clear that Irving's rating might be inflated due to his past achievements and his well-known skill set. Both Haliburton and Morant are focal points for their respective teams, whereas Irving shares the spotlight with Dončić.
Irving's rating should be closer to 90, reflecting his current standing in the NBA hierarchy as a phenomenal but not top-tier guard.
1. Jayson Tatum–95 Overall
Jayson Tatum finally captured his first NBA championship in 2024, solidifying his place among the league's top players. He has consistently led the Boston Celtics deep into the playoffs throughout his career and signed a record-breaking supermax contract in the offseason. However, his 95 rating in NBA 2K25 seems inflated when you compare it to other players in that elite category.
While Tatum put up great numbers last season, his stats slightly declined due to the increased talent around him on the Celtics roster. Players like LeBron James and Stephen Curry, who are also rated 95, have similar statistics, but both have proven they can take over games in a way that Tatum hasn't quite done yet.
Tatum's rating is likely boosted by his recent championship and the fact that he's one of the cover athletes for NBA 2K25. However, a rating of 93 or 94 would be more in line with his actual performance compared to other legends with similar ratings.
Does anybody know how to turn on bigman help during play now. The setting that would have your big sit paint instead of doubling the ball when you call a double team from 2k24. Please help.
So I've been playing play now online and got the rewarded teams after finishing each league.
my question Is will the teams remain for you in the future seasons or will they wipe out and you'll have to aqquire them again?!
What was the reasoning for removing All-Star team up?
I never post but Play Now Online is too infuriating. My online opponent hasn’t moved once in 10 minutes but hasn’t been kicked and I’m just waiting around wasting my time.
If I quit I’m penalized because of their inactivity and I’m already playing with a random team because I can’t choose my Grizzlies twice in a row.
Please 2K kick players out for minutes of inactivity and let me not have to play w/every team in the league when I’m just trying to casually get a few games in. Very disappointed spending $70 to for my favorite game mode regress.
I've been tryna run up all star team up with my friends and 2K is trying to convince me we're the only mfs in the world who are trying to play that. It's bad enough I have to use the PS4 version but this is crazy. It was like this on 24 as well.
Play Now Online no longer has Player Control (Team Up mode). 2k24 had it. this is the only mode i play. literally wasted $70. i fucking hate 2k im finally fuxking done with this garbage ass company and game.
no matter what I do it seems like my opponent shoots 75% against me
Everyone moves like they're on ice. What am I doing wrong ?
Everytime I hop on play now against the cpu they play there superstars and starters 40+ minutes like it’s the playoffs which is unrealistic. Is there a way to make the cpu play its rotation a realistic amount of minutes?
Sorry if this has been posted, I couldnt find any mention.
But I decided to buy the game last night and realized after playing my 2nd game (first game disconnected, and I received a loss).
Won the 2nd game w the Knicks and wanted to play a third. I realized the Knicks logo was greyed out and I couldn't select them.
I chose the sixers, had the lead in the 2nd quarter, got bored and shut off my Xbox.
I just want to play one or two quick games online with the Knicks like I've always done.
Unless I missed something and I'm hoping you can point it out for me. I feel forced to play with a bunch of teams I don't like.
All these damn achievements and VC points don't mean a thing to me.
Why can't I use same team for online matches . It gets greyed out and I'm forced to use other teams . I don't want it use other teams .
Love Knick fan
My friends and I mainly play NBA2K blacktop, and it's one of my considerations if I should get 2K255 now. I have 2K24 and that's what we've been playing.
Is it the same or is it any better?
Whenever I switch the matchups on the fly using L1, they never stick and change themselves by the next posession. For example could make my pg matchup with the opposing PF, by the next possession my pg would be right back guarding the opposing pg or or anybody else. has this been happening to anybody else? how to fix it?
