Pretty and entertaining, although with much less replay value than we would have liked it to have.

Aside from the sea battles, Anno 2205 is, without a doubt, the best entry in the series yet. The combination of finely tuned city-building and economy-management gameplay make for an addictive experience that is impossible to put down.

If you’ve played 1404 or 2070 or what-have-you, then this will feel exceedingly familiar—especially once you hit the end-game optimization grind, which can be even more tedious when you’re trying to balance multiple cities at once. I’ve been addicted to 2205 all week, but remain disappointed Blue Byte doesn’t push its ideas further with each new entry..

Building in a futuristic setting was never as much fun as it is in Anno 2205. Build your own metropolis on both the Earth and the moon. The gameplay is easy to get into, so both newcomers and veterans of the franchise can instantly enjoy the game.

I had a great, if fleeting, experience with Anno 2205, but I’ve now solved the equation in its entirety, and without an editor or custom scenarios (or even pre-determined ones), the game just doesn’t have any real staying power.

Anno 2205 has so much going on and makes all of your tasking varied and interesting. One game is three different building sims with real-time strategy naval battles peppered in and everything moves in a way that makes it compelling and addictive instead of overwhelming. It’s an ambitious improvement in a lot of ways over Anno 2070. Unfortunately, the technical issues keep it from being the perfect entry in the series that it wants to be.

This feels soooo boring, I have been playing for a total of 8 hours. I have already settled the artic and made a couple of missions but I am about to give up. Does it become more entertained late game or Anno 1800 has spoiled me?

Yes , I'm this kind of guy, I want that anno ( 2205 ) to be remade with the same tech & philosophy as Anno 1800.

It is not a bad Game at all, it's just incomplete.

Let's not forget that it is this one that gave us a first taste of what multi-session can look like.
The setting was insanely fun. the interaction between each regions were interesting too.
Just imagine, smaller sessions with a few gigantic Island where each player have it's own session with all the mechanics around. The islands where beautifull, the progression was clear & the multi-modules buildings gave us a taste of what it is in Anno1800.
Even the military side was interesting ! with each battle happening on differents maps with a lot of action !

What was really missing was mostly a sandbox mode & multiplayer.

I want to get back to the moon with my friend !

So I'm all in for a Anno 2502 or 2205 Remake
Damn ! even a 2070 remade would be interesting ! or a 2106 as a middle ground !

Imagine it had been done properly using 1800s engine and gameplay.

Imagine looking at a solar map instead of the world map and watching your trade ships voyage to the moon, with mineral mining on Mars and gas mining on Venus.

One can dream!

Hi all, I have close to 1k hrs playing anno 1800 and I love the game a lot. I brought all the dlcs including season 4 but i want to try something else. I saw anno 2205 on sale and it's AU $15. Do you guys think it's worth to buy it for that price? Is the game any good in comparison to anno 1800? Thanks a lot

I played Anno 2205 a lot when it came out. To be honest, I didn't really like the Gameplay, it was just too simple, it didn't have any of the complexity Anno is known for. But one thing I absolutely love is the Art Direction, I love the high-tech and the minimalist Architecture style with the Black and Blue Colour Motif. Cyberpunk and high-tech are my fovourite things, so this Game is like a dream come true for me. Sometimes I decide to play a Round of 2205, the Gameplay is very simple and rather boring, but the game is just so pretty that I don't care. A game with the Complexity of Anno 1800 (wich I also love, the Industrial Revolution is my favourite historical time period) and the Art of Anno 2205 would be my dream game.

Edit: I also love the Optimism of the Game, it doesn't have any of the Doom and Gloom and Cyberpunk and I have the feeling that the world of 2205 would be a great place to live in.

Hi, I created a Fanpatch mod that unlocks all buildings, skins and achievements that can’t be unlocked anymore because of deprecated features such as Ubisoft club rewards. This will allow you to unlock all buildings and achievements, skip Ubisoft intro logo, add Quality Of Life features and a few other things !

For reference, you will get buildings from Ubisoft club rewards (HQ Garage, Firewater, Leisure Time, Fireworks Ignitor, Flower Garden), buildings from Seasonal events (Maypole, Lily, Christmas Tree), skins from Ubisoft club rewards (Personal Yacht, Corporate Empire, Environmentalist, Capitalist), the gift of rare materials from club reward Business Angel, be able to reach 148/148 buildings unlocked and achievements Because I Can (Weil ich es kann), Interior Decorator (Innenausstatter), Asteroid Riches (Asteroidenschätze), Anno Day (Anno-Tag)...
