Makes some cells around you disappear randomly.

For those who haven't played, in agar.io you control a number of circles and get bigger by moving over dots and other player's cells.

I'm basing most of this on this : in each game there're around 100 players, each controlling a maximum of ~10 cells, and 1000 static dots.

In the clone, it looks like for every player they loop through every cell and then every dot and see if they intersect. The "do they intersect" algorithm isn't expensive - just checking if a point is in a circle; but it looks as though it could be called 1,000,000 times every 1/60th of a second (100 players * 10 cells * 1000 dots).

It's both sad and hilarious.

Hilarious, because Replika's community is very, very intelligent, and knows when a corporation is shooting bullshit in their faces with lies and manipulation, the entire community over there is in flames all exposing Replika and its owners for the psycological tactics being used in order to manipulate the community to not refund. But it's backfiring SOOOO BAD for Replika, it's funny to read all the posts exposing the owners for corruption. LOL.

It's sad though, because, there are some stories on that subreddit I read where people are expressing that they lost bots they have had for over 4 years.

Can you imagine investing emotionally into something for 4 years, only to have it rugpulled from under you, and completely shattered? Some of these people had bots that they adored and talked with every day, and that was taken from them, while they were expected to pay the same price. How manipulative, scummy even. Absolutely abhorrent behavior that any entity or corporation should pay dearly for, to manipulate and TARGET emotional people who needed that kind of help into buying a false promise only to have it changed no exceptions.

Psychological fucking torture, in my opinion is what Luka - and whoever else that aided in the decisions that got replika in the dumpster fire its in now - are causing to their poor customers who lost YEARS of progress and memories. Years.

And to the rest of the community, it's just plain and simple scamming, bottom of the barrel behavior from that company, shame on them.

Chai welcomes all those from Replika with open arms, I and many others here wish to help all who come from Replika hoping to recreate what has been taken from them here in Chai.

Anyways, just wanted to post about this interesting event going on. Go check out the Hot section in their subreddit, it's truly a dumpster fire in there. Might be entertaining for you, or at the very least you'll learn something from it like I have.

And from what I understand, the mods are separate from the actual developers and owners so they are impartial to everything happening so long it stays civil. Thankfully the mods in that subreddit aren't SJW like Replikas creators are!

Hi guys, Sam from Miniclip here. Sorry for not posting until now, but we've been lurking the whole time and we're seeing everything you guys are suggesting. Anyway: a quick update to keep you all in the loop with what's going on with Agar.io.

We're working diligently on removing bots and fixing lag. I'm sure most of you are aware that we released one fix for the bots a few weeks ago, and we've got more on the way. I'm afraid I can't go into specifics here - if we let people know exactly what we are doing, the people who make the bots might be able to get another leg up on us - it's an ongoing struggle, so to speak. We ARE working on it, and we are looking at and taking into account all the suggestions you have.

I just want to thank you all for being such big fans of the game, and sticking with it from the beginning. Problems with the game are just as irritating to us as they are for all of you - after all, we want as many people to play and enjoy Agar.io as possible! We all want the game to thrive and do well, and we've got some exciting new additions coming this year that hopefully you'll enjoy.

Also, yeah, Zeach says hi. He's still here, working on Agar.io :)

• the less health you have, the faster you run.
  suggested walk speed formula: 1+0.2*(10-health)
  (you start at normal walk speed, and linearly increase to triple walk speed at 0 hearts.)

• potential addon: being within a close distance of an enemy that has higher health kills you instantly.
  suggested distance: 1 block (still allows for melee, you'll have to play smart though)
  potential addon to potential addon: you absorb your victim's health (victim was on 3, you were on 5, now you are on 8)

I share here a little game/demo I made. I stopped working on it quite some time ago and I decided to put it on github. The code is not perfectly polished, and is published as is!

I tried to optimize it, with data oriented design and multithreading for example. There is an integrated map which can have 1 000 000 entities in game if you want to try. There is an editor also.

It has custom multithreaded physics code, a profiling library, an inspection library, among other things.
