What the heck is going on with Frazier . Already at career high with 12 home runs this year . He's on pace for around 20 or more home runs great for him !. How do you think he has unlocked his power more so with the Orioles than any others teams ?

He's batting almost 0.300 last 15 games starting to heat up fellas again . Really great signing and he definitely has done some great clutch hitting this year gotta say .

In yalls honest opinion........ I know he's going to be worth alot on the market but do you really want us to trade him? I believe he is only 28 years old and has always been a solid hitter. Freese when i puttsburgh said the man would win a batting title if given a legit chance to play everyday. Well that assumption doesn't look to far off right now. I know we could get a good haul here. But let's play devils advocate here. He's only 28. That still fits within pittsburghs time frame to compete. A nice little 3 to 4 year contract would sit pretty for Frazier at his age. Also look at his versatility. He's played mainly 2b last few seasons but can also play any outfield position and came up as a shortstop. And was our utility man early in his career. I know nick gonzalez is gonna be a stud and will man the 2bag. But what upcoming outfielders do we have in the organization ready for mlb play? Swaggerty has struggled at the plate befor his injury and surgery recently. There had been talks of O'Neil Cruz moving to the outfield bc of his struggles at short. The dustin fowler and Anthony Alford experience has so far fell flat. I like Phillip Evans but don't believe he's an everyday player in the mlb and I'm so sick of Gregory Polanco at this point he's a giant hole in the middle of the lineup. So of our current mlb outfielders we have Reynolds, gamel, Evans, Polanco, Tom. Of the 3 the only one that should and prob will be on the roster next season will be Reynolds and Evans. Swaggerty may be mlb ready by start of next season. The likes of Hudson head, can Mitchel, and Smith are nowhere near mlb ready. Jared Oliva could be a potential starter. But even in the minors he was never a great bat with a good glove. My point being is I'd be fine with us keeping Frazier and potentially making a move to the outfield with him. We most likely won't do it. But I'd be ok with a lineup going into next year like this C- stallings 1st- Moran 2nd- gonzalez (99% chance he is in triple or double a to start season but I feel he gonna go through the minors very fast with his bat) Ss- Newman 3rd- Hayes Lf- Frazier Cf- Reynolds Rf- Cruz

I believe by the start of next season O'Neil Cruz will be on the mlb roster. I hopes it's move to the outfield bc iv seen him play ss and he's not bad but it's the oddest thing iv ever witnessed. Lol

Why can’t we just bring back Adam Frazier?

Why can’t we just bring back Adam Frazier?

We’re ‘looking for a left handed hitting second baseman.’ Yet we’re not seemingly getting much interest from big name free agents. 2022 Frazier certainly underperformed, but it was also just one season and in a different league. That said, he also had one of the more important hits in Mariners history (double against Toronto).

He’s a career .270 hitter and just had his worst season, yet is still one of the better contact hitters in the game. He’ll put the ball in play, and with an above average 1-5 lineup, his groundouts will occasionally move runners over. There’s also no reason to believe he won’t bounce back and hit .280 or .300 like he has in seasons past.

Obviously it’d be preferred to get Bogaerts or Swanson or Turner or Correa and flip a coin between who plays short or second between any of them and Crawford, but the reality is none of them are coming this way. As a result we’ll be signing somebody who’s likely going to put up 2022 Adam Frazier numbers ie Kolten Wong/Jace Peterson.

My unpopular opinion: if we haven’t signed an established 2nd baseman by New Years, we offer Frazier a 1 year $5 million contract and lock him down for 2023 and take our mind off 2nd. It’s unlikely he’ll be any worse than he was last season, he can be a solid 6-9 hitter and can also play competent left field if there are any outfield injuries. I personally think he’ll bounce back this season tho and we’ll see him perform like he did in Pittsburgh, regardless of who he plays with.

Here’s some players who had a better wrc+ than Frazier last year:

  • Ramon Urias

  • Terrin Vavra

  • Jorge Mateo

By Wrc+ he was virtually identical to Odor offensively. Are we due for another season of cursing the lineup every night while a young promising bat sits on the bench?

[Passan] The San Diego Padres are acquiring second baseman/outfielder Adam Frazier from the Pittsburgh Pirates, sources tell ESPN. Frazier, 29, leads baseball in hits this year and is not a free agent until after the 2022 season. One of the best bats on the trade market.
