I get it, we all get it, people don't like 'What Style is This?' posts
We have done a lot to crack down on these, when they're obviously low effort, when the OP is likely to never return, when it's clear that it's a question based to source an AI prompt rather to actually learn themselves... we remove
We do not remove all these posts, sometimes they do yield good threads, sometimes they garner a lot of comments, sometimes they do produce really great and insight conversations, and are a great way to share styles and techniques and design movements that people might otherwise never have heard of. They can be great sources of maybe not telling people styles, as not everything can be pigeon holed into a specific style, but rather people identifying influences and aspects and elements that come from this style or that one etc. For this reason this type of post will not be straight up banned, as censoring conversation isn't the solution
But as I've said, when things are blatantly AI prompt farming, when they're low effort etc, then they will be removed - we will continue to do so, but we've also updated the rules to reflect this;
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rule 7 - No memes, AI farming and low-quality posts
Memes will be removed
Low effort posts will be removed
Obvious AI generated posts will be removed and will result in a ban. This also relates to 'What Style is This' posts that are clearly based for AI prompts
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So whilst the mods will be reviewing posts and continuing to remove when we feel appropriate, we would also like to remind and ask the community to help us out, we've amended this rule and so you guys can help us by reporting posts to make it easier for us to remove
Hope it helps
