How was your experience on hospitalizing your kids in Japan?

Hello everyone. Two days ago, we had to admit our 6months old daughter due to her low weight gain. She doesnt drink milk or solid food, so upon consulting with pediatrician at general hospital, he suggested to admit for various test and they will check different feeding options and so on.

Two days passed by,parents are only allowed to visit 15 min per day. Today we went there and saw our baby girl crying so much that her voice was completely drained. I wonder she had been crying all day night. Yes she cries a lot even at home, unless we carry her and hug her. But I am afraid, she is left by herself no matter how hard she cries. My wife was worried and she even thought of discharging her asap. But I explained her not to make haste decisions as it just about 2 days and still a week to go as per schedule.

How was your experience if you had any similar experience? Did your kids get enough attention during hospitalization? Our daughter is just 6 and its nightmare to think that she is left alone , unattended when she cries a lot 😔

Places for singles to meet people in Tokyo

Hello! I (27/F) have been living in Japan for a few months and am tiring of the single lifestyle. I've made a lot of friends while here but I'm not really sure how to go about looking for more than that. Dating culture in Japan kind of befuddles me, it seems very different than in Europe.

Are there any good places to meet new people? I'm not opposed to hookups but I would at least like there to be some idea that it could lead to something more so I'd prefer a bar/izakaya/place you can actually hold a conversation over somewhere like a nightclub. I speak Japanese at work and with my Japanese friends so language barrier issues should be minimal. I liked the idea of Aisekiya but my female friends are in relationships so that's unfortunately off the table...

Does this amount seem reasonable? I will apply for lumpsum pension payments and the agency will withold 20%, which I will claim through a third person living in Japan. But he is asking to keep 50% of it. That will amount to 128,000 yen. It seems a bit too steep to me. Does anyone have experience with this process? If it involves a lot of paperwork and trips to the tax office, then this amount is understandable. But if not, then I will look for alternatives. TIA.
