The fact that Penny had the smallest starting weight but was also one of the least motivated people on the show is kind of amusing. I don't know if she ever did end up losing weight but if she didn't then a lot of the successful ones near the top end of the chart are probably about half her size or even less now.

[–]Swanabe 96 points97 points  (22 children)

And wasn’t she immobile? Heavier patients have been more mobile than her if I’m correct?

Wow, that really puts her laziness and mental weakness in perspective.

[–]RUfuqingkiddingme 89 points90 points  (14 children)

She seemed pretty determined to stay immobile.

[–]killinrinBye fatty two shoes! 31 points32 points  (13 children)

Friiiiiied woooontoooonss

[–]RUfuqingkiddingme 23 points24 points  (2 children)

Pretty sure the closest thing I saw her eat to a vegetable was ketchup.

[–]EXTRAVAGANT_COMMENTSuper 2 points3 points  (1 child)

which according to congress is a portion of vegetables

[–]jackie172[🍰] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and nancy reagan.

[–]matchy_matchy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Cannot function without them!

[–]PixieLaruePizza is not part of your diet 11 points12 points  (1 child)

I had gastric sleeve 5 weeks ago. I just saw her episode yesterday and I almost vomited watching her eating post op. I’ve lost more than her in her 12 month in these 5 weeks and started at 270lbs. She was frustrating to watch.

[–]jackie172[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

listening to her was worse.

[–]gabiaeali 17 points18 points  (0 children)

On the yellow brick road.

[–]jackie172[🍰] 5 points6 points  (5 children)

mixing meatloaf same place she shits.

[–]closest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But Penny knows the exact calories in the food she makes at home and that makes it healthier!

I wonder if she takes the amount of fecal matter in her calculations.

[–]killinrinBye fatty two shoes! 1 point2 points  (3 children)

That was also a constant with Nicole

[–]jackie172[🍰] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

which one was Nicole?

[–]killinrinBye fatty two shoes! 6 points7 points  (1 child)

The ICP juggalo blonde chick that got power washed on the porch

[–]jackie172[🍰] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

great description.

[–]superthotty 17 points18 points  (3 children)

She was pretty pathetic. Basically no attempts to walk around or even get out of bed.

[–]-doors-_-_ 13 points14 points  (2 children)

She used her status as a mother as an excuse to do fuck all. The worst types of people.

[–]MadamNerdMy body doesn't burn calories 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Yeah that was bizarre to me. I'm a mother and my ass is almost always doing something, whether it's working, making food for the kid, cleaning house, running errands, going on playdates, etc. And I still make it to the gym 3 times a week. I know SAHMs who stay plenty busy too. But please Penny, tell us more about how you do more than the rest of us /s.

[–]magjsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

[–]jackie172[🍰] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

penny got up to trick or treat, free candy and lots of it.

[–]magjsc 2 points3 points  (1 child)

In a wheelchair

[–]jackie172[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah.

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 52 points53 points  (2 children)

Yes! I was shock, to learn she was the lightest patient of the show, and one of the least successful ones.

[–]matchy_matchy 24 points25 points  (1 child)

But she lost 340 pounds! She told the EMS workers so! (I don't know how they kept a straight face.)

[–]superthotty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that was just a bad joke, maybe deadpan. Her drive was atrocious though

[–]5PrettyVacant 40 points41 points  (6 children)

If she ever found out she was the "lightest" of them all she'd probably spin into some more of her Penny-ism. She'd try to convince everyone how much better off she was from them all, even the ones who had weight loss success

[–]howsthatwork 42 points43 points  (5 children)

Penny seeing somebody who started 200 pounds heavier than her, having lost 150 pounds so far, walking around the block for exercise: "I'm smaller than they are! That makes me the REAL success!" /goes back to frying wontons in bed

[–]swaggy_senpai79You buncha bastards! 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That just gave me flashbacks of her preparing food in bed (where she also defecates) and I just threw up a little.

[–]5PrettyVacant 3 points4 points  (3 children)

That sounds like Penny alright

[–]jackie172[🍰] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

she also earns $500 a month from all the coupons she clips.

[–]5PrettyVacant 1 point2 points  (1 child)

We all know that $500.00 barely makes a dent in their outrageous food bills

[–]magjsc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coupon are mostly for processed food, never for healthy food like fruits and vegetables

[–]howsthatwork 25 points26 points  (7 children)

I cackled when I saw that. It really put in perspective how full of shit she was, being "bedridden" at literal hundreds of pounds smaller than people who were still mobile. Bitch you ain't special.

[–]swaggy_senpai79You buncha bastards! 8 points9 points  (2 children)

And in her WATN she said she was happy she could "get around" when all she was doing was getting pushed in a wheelchair smh....

[–]ManiacallyRedditChrishunnn! It's all your fault! 7 points8 points  (1 child)

And that still wore her out.

[–]closest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of when Schenee was tired after watching Freddy move all their stuff in and out.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Weight isn’t the only component of this though- Penny could have been immobile if she is very short for the weight she’s carrying. She’s not immobile, just lazy, but worth remembering.

[–]howsthatwork 2 points3 points  (1 child)

IIRC she was short, actually, I think they commented on her extreme BMI for her height (I mean, "extreme" like they aren't all). But still I was thinking that there are women more than 100 pounds heavier than her on this list, I don't think a couple extra inches is helping that a whole lot.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could mean a lot in terms of skeletal pressure, but everyone carries their weight differently too.

[–]magjsc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with someone, when they said, if she gets better she will lose a lot of benefits

[–]NeitherSparkyOuchie! 74 points75 points  (13 children)

It would probably be interesting to rank everyone by bmi, but of course we are seldom given their height (sometimes Dr Now says their bmi but rarely). We really should be given heights, its actually a pretty important factor.

[–][deleted] 42 points43 points  (5 children)

Agree! This drives me nuts on all these sorts of shows. So hard to compare. I'm a 5'10 female. Me at 200 lbs is a size 12. a 5'3 person could be a size 18 or more.

[–]madamerimbaud 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'3 and 204. Size 16-18 depending on brand.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (2 children)

There were a couple of women on the show this season who were at least 5'10" and they were way more mobile than the shorter women at the same weight. Height is still a factor even at these massive weights.

[–]swaggy_senpai79You buncha bastards! 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Even though I believe Destinee was still biologically a man, she was 6' 2" and was quite mobile. Didn't look as heavy as she actually was too.

[–]jackie172[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

destinee carried her weight well.

[–]DigitalDobeI'm proud of you 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same! I’m a 6ft 1 woman and weigh 180, I’m not fat, but a woman 6 inches shorter than me probably would be at my weight.

[–]has2give 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Exactly what i was thinking wheni saw the chart...the height counts as much as the weight. I'm 96 pounds which sounds tiny to some but I'm also only 5'1 so not that small so some of those people were as short as me with that weight which would really make them larger over all. I think they like their height kept a secret so they can say well I'm only 600lbs and he was 900lbs which is much worse! Some of them...not all...there were a few more in tune to reality than others. 700lbs at 5 foot is much worse than 700 at 6 foot...lol

[–]jackie172[🍰] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

lupe was very short and wide.

[–]has2give 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes she was! I'm not sure who would actually be the worst off bmi wise with only the weight mentioned, but some of the smaller weight seem so much sicker. I'm shocked that some are still mobile at all honestly... Some i feel like don't want to be mobile, they want to be helpless victims so nothing is their fault, everyone else can be blamed for everything. Idk i see gluttony, but i also see depression and addiction. I cannot fault a person with uncontrollable depression and addiction, that's hard to break but i don't think that applies to all of them, some are happy to be right where they are and only go on this show for more attention and money, that takes away from those truly struggling to be better. So sad.

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%, unfortunately I could only find their initial weight.

[–]clappingenballs 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Also would be great to see their weight loss in the first year or something as lbs and % of weight! That works be so interesting

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I am working on that today, once I have a break from work. Should have it completed today or tomorrow.

[–]clappingenballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fantastic! Can't wait to see it

[–]419BarabooholeDrive 53 points54 points  (7 children)

It's funny that you spelled her name Battie Jo. She's batty as hell.

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Dang it, missed that typo. Was trying to do it while I watched Tiffany's episode.

[–]419BarabooholeDrive 26 points27 points  (0 children)

for pity sake don't change it

[–]Lxwana 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Battie Jo!!! You get a regroll of appreciation for making my night!🌺

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (3 children)

I'm surprised the Queen of SSI hasn't found a way to declare that baby as disabled so she can get an SSI check for him too. For sure she and that pipsqueak of a boyfriend aren't working. That whole cancer trick was probably another scheme to get more out of disability or whatever social programs they live off of.

[–]gabiaeali 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Oh she'll find a way. Her boyfriend makes my skin crawl.

[–]magjsc 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What does he remind you of ? I think it’s a cartoon character

[–]gabiaeali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stereotypical white trash.

[–]ketchup_secret 16 points17 points  (4 children)

Omg I had no idea Sean died. I like your chart though!

[–]RUfuqingkiddingme 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Sean and Robert, should be a wake up call for the rest of the people on the list.

[–]skislalom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lisa Fleming just died too.

[–]swaggy_senpai79You buncha bastards! 5 points6 points  (1 child)

L.B. (one of the good guys) unfortuantely died too :(

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he did? holy smokes. how? when? i remember his episode last year.

[–]BlackCaaaaatTell me bout your eating habit 14 points15 points  (1 child)

Sean got that high? Holy shitballs!

Great list, Dr Now is very proud of you. You are approved for weight loss surgery.

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But I only lost 12 pounds in one munt :(

[–]fleod 22 points23 points  (4 children)

I'd like to see this by highest documented weight, since Steven got well over 800.

[–]aliveinjoburg2 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Sean was, at some point, over a 1000 lbs.

[–]Minnie1919 26 points27 points  (1 child)

My thoughts exactly. For those who GAINED in Dr. Now’s program, we would see even higher numbers. Sean got to 1003, I recall, as his mother continued to feed him to death. I know James K gained as well, and a few others who I can’t think of at the moment.

[–]thepigfish82 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'll never forget the scene of him going to dr. Now's, cant get through the door, then taken away via ambulance to be inpatient to get his weight down. His response to people caring and trying to help him survive.."this is excessive." He weight half a ton and considered getting his weight down as excessive

[–]has2give 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Weight and height!! To see where they really rank!

[–]jicklegirl 10 points11 points  (1 child)

This is great. Would also love to see the rankings of who lost the most and least during the first year. Not sure if that’s been compiled anywhere.

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I was planning on also doing that, but ran out of time. I have half the info already saved, so I will try to do it tomorrow.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Do you have a chart including peak weights during filming? If yes, then our Lard and Savior James K would move up to 2nd place at 843 pounds

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, but I will compile the list of weight loss in 1 year, it will actually show that James K gained weight while at the hospital.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Starting weight? Didnt Sean go up to like 1008 after his first appointment?

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes starting weight, I know several of them actually gained during the show, James K and Miss Do You Believe in God.

[–]ash-leg2Super 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very cool, thank you for doing this!

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Impressive work! Thank you for doing this!

[–]xmgm33 5 points6 points  (8 children)

Can we do a ranking like this for now we feel about people? Maybe a poll would be better, but honestly I’d like to see if there’s a correlation between whether we like someone and weight loss. I think there is because we all Penny, James K, Steven Assanti and they lost like nothing. But also I don’t think it works the other way around so maybe the correlation is just we hate idiots who can’t stick to the program.

[–]BlackCaaaaatTell me bout your eating habit 14 points15 points  (1 child)

I don’t dislike those patients because they didn’t lose the weight, it was their obnoxious attitudes. Having that sort of attitude, however, is not going to be helpful to their weight loss journey.

[–]xmgm33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I think that’s the connection for sure. There are others who I started out hating but then came around to through the episode as they got it together though

[–]sk8tergater 9 points10 points  (1 child)

For me penny plays the whole “I’m working so hard! Where’s my yellow brick road??” While literally laying in bed stuffing her face all day. I have no patience for that and I can’t understand that mindset. I don’t care that she didn’t lose anything. I care that she didn’t even try and then cried about working hard.

[–]xmgm33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah and also being abusive to her husband. It boggles my mind how these people control their spouses so much, Dr. Now points it out in the James K episode - he gets mad ok what’s he going to do? Penny is the same way, like ok she gets mad at her husband but then what? She won’t get up.

But also agree, but that’s why I think there’s a correlation. Like the shittier the person the less weight loss, but I guess that shouldn’t be a surprise really.

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might be into something! Some of the least successful patients, we did not like at all.

[–]Minnie1919 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Wouldn’t that require a massive poll?

[–]xmgm33 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I mean a poll of this subreddit at least. I mean it’s probably not feasible but I would like to poll this place for most hated someday. And biggest enabler (although it’s definitely Lisa). We have posts like once a day on this, it’d be nice to have an official...weigh in.

[–]Minnie1919 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah it would be worth a try ;)

Roshanda Perrio wins for highest woman - that doesn't entirely surprise me. She was a surprising trooper for me though, so I hope she's still doing good!

(Something about her expression while they were listening to Dr. Now made me think she wasn't going to buy into the plan, but she proved me wrong.)

ETA: Good chart, OP! It's interesting data; I spent a longer time staring at it than I'd like to admit.

[–]PlatypusEgo -5 points-4 points  (3 children)

It's good data and I appreciate it but why would you structure it like that? lol

[–]ChakaRulas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, not the best formatting. Unfortunately I am not great doing charts, I will try to improve it. Trying to figure out a nicer way to present the data. I agree, it ain't the best presentation.
