I served aboard a submarine and every so often they allow families to ride to see what it’s like to be on a submarine. They usually surface and stop somewhere off the coast and let everyone to swim off the side of the boat, I had just gotten out of the water when a whale appeared next to the boat and took the biggest dump. The water went from clear to black in matter of seconds.

It's not actually vomit, and only some whales produce it. When some whales like Sperm Whales eat things like squid, they can digest everything apart from the beak, which is a hard, sharp part of the squid. To protect its digestive system, the whales body coats the sharp squid beak in a layer of hard, wax-like substance called ambergris. They then vomit up the offending item and go about their day. Turns out that waxy substance has a remarkable smell profile, and for many years has been an important ingredient in luxury colognes and perfumes, hence why the manufacturers of such scents will pay a huge price for it, because it's very rare and very smelly!
Ambergris has been used for more than just perfume, however. Early Arab civilisations named it anbar and used it as incense, an aphrodisiac and medicine to cure many ailments, including those of the brain, heart and senses.

Nope you guys are both right and wrong. Its not technically vomit or poop, but its a secretion of squid beaks and waxy substance produced by sperm whales. It can be ejected through either end, though its neither vomit nor poop.

Horses are surprisingly good swimmers. Also quite buoyant. No need to feel bad. I guess it depends on the distance. I swam with the horses often and they loved it. Had one who would come 'save' you like the dogs in those videos.

Why, why ride through that deep of ocean water? I’d hate to be the person or persons responsible responsible for upkeep of those leather goods, bridle saddles /girth. Unless they went somewhere where they got cut off from their island it just makes no sense. The amount of time and money involved with the upkeep, as well as replacement costs of gear just seams counter productive for a business model

I did the horse riding experience in Aruba so I could run them through the sand and it was one of the most painful experiences of my life…hours through Rocky terrain to have a 2 minute sprint in the sand. 0/10 never again.

Haha, 99% sure this is in Jamaica, I've been on this day trip. Ride the horses into the foothills to see some local villages and nature, and then they switch the saddles, use only the strongest horses, and your trip group take turns riding out frkm the beach into the ocean, where the horses swim along in a follow the leader style big arc, and then come back in. Kinda gimmicky, but the GF wanted to do it. She'd never been on a horse before...
This same thing happened to the last couple people in our turn to ride into the ocean... just happy it wasn't us! Honestly, though, unless it happened right at the very end, with the ocean current, you'd be pretty well rinsed off by the time you came in.

As someone who rides horses, this is painful to watch. A horse saddle costs about $5000 USD, at least, and saltwater would ruin a saddle after 1-2 rides. The amount of money being wasted is painful. Also please don’t do this. Most horses that are used as tourist attractions aren’t well taken care of. They probably work sunrise to sunset, don’t receive proper medical attention, and are kept in stalls all night, allowing them no time for turnout. And horses also don’t like to swim that much. The majority of horses are only comfortable up to their legs in water, but they will swim if necessary for escaping predators. If you want to go out on the water use a boat, not an animal. If you want to explore mountains and beaches; hike, walk, bike, or get a tour. Please don’t support those who abuse animals for money.
We use swimming to rehab and exercise racehorses. Swimming is great because the horses get a very good workout in a short amount of time with no impact on joints. The problem with riding through water like this is I guarantee you the horses are exhausted after getting out of the water. I can’t imagine how many times a day the horses can do that without being drained physically.
I feel so bad for the horses, probably these poor animals aren’t allow to take shots for carrying people back and forth
