Warped Tour
/r/OldSchoolCool **History's cool kids, looking fantastic!** A pictorial and video celebration of history's coolest kids, everything from beatniks to bikers, mods to rude boys, hippies to ravers. And everything in between. If you've found a photo, or a photo essay, of people from the past looking fantastic, here's the place to share it.
Well obviously everyone would want Warped Tour to come back , but even if it did would it be the same? I know that Warped Tour is way far from its glorious days when bands like Paramore , Bad Religion, Anti flag and H20 performed and the producers said that the discontinuence of it is mostly due to the loss of the community but I think if they tried to reorganise such events would lead to the community getting back some of its old vibes. It's just sad that gatherings like that don't happen that often anymore.

So, there have been rumors around for awhile that Warped is being revived soon, and I just got a very suspicious hint that that’s true. I came here to post a screenshot, but it won’t let me post a photo for some reason…
Anyways, y’all probably have seen that Monster made Warped Tour Tour Water again and is selling it now, at gas stations from what I’ve seen, and on a post of theirs I commented asking if it meant Warped was returning and they replied saying “we can neither conform nor deny 👀 “
and I am freaking out. I only went 2011-2018, but those were the best summers of my life. And god, there’s so many bands in the scene that I’d love to have them experience playing the tour, and I would also love to see them in that atmosphere. So just needed to share with someone who understands, please don’t attack me lol

I’ve really been thinking about this question. My answer would be yes, because I was never able to make it to a Warped Tour, but also we usually don’t get to hear bands play FULL albums (exception for anniversary tours or GD’s tour where they’re playing Dookie AND American Idiot). The fact that Warped Tour would tour is just a better concept, since it lets many more fans be able to see it closer to them instead of traveling across the country to Vegas to WWWY. Tell me what you think! I want to hear everyone’s thoughts on this.
When I was younger 23 or 24 I think ? I used to constantly go to music stores .when cds were still a thing.
I regularly bought van warped tour cd, when it got close to amazing when Paramore misery business showed up.
Then a few years later the tour fell off.and I heard it got shut down a few years afterwards and always been wondering why it happened?

There are countless of posts explaining how it felt experiencing Warped Tour as part of the audience but I always wondered how it was performing in it? Do we have any redditor whose band was lucky enough to play in the festival? How hard was it to finally be a part of it? Are there any backstage things we don't know that happened? Can someone describe the whole experience and vibe?
My first time attending Warped Tour was in 2014, also that was my first concert as well.

What year and what venue was it at?
I'll go first. Warped I'm almost 100% positive derived from surf/skate/snow/music magazine Warp(no 'ed at the end) magazine. they were huge in the early and mid 90s I believe, so I subbed to them and read the shit religiously.
so, for me, the first Warped Tour was in '96 at Crissy Field in San Francisco, with my 2 friends Green and Blondie(not their real names). on the way up the coast to SF ('the City' as people in Bay Area call it), me and green lost blondie, blondie followed a car with NOFX stickers on the back window and ended arriving to venue before us. when we were there I think tilt was playing and were greeted with a plume of dust formed by the moshpit because the venue was literally on a dry dirty ground so everyone that was near the pit were coated in dirt. got to watch NOFX, Social D, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Rancid, Unwritten law, Lagwagon, and Tilt among others. It was probably the most vivid and memorable show.
Oh and saw Blink before they got a cease and desist and change their name to blink-182 lol :(
🍍 Let pineapples reign, forever sweet, in stories told by knights we meet. And in the hearts of those who dare, to uphold its honor, strong and rare.
