Alan Tudyk
Science Fiction, or Speculative Fiction if you prefer. Fantasy too. Asimov, Bradbury, Clarke, Dick, Heinlein and other SF books. SF movies and TV shows. Fantasy stuff like Tolkien and Game of Thrones. Laser guns, space ships, and time travel. etc. Star Trek, Battlestar, Star Wars, etc.
Resident Alien, Doom Patrol, Powerless, Firefly.
I don't know about yall, but I need more Tudyk in my life! Lately, he's been the most fun actor in sci-fi.
I have the feeling he's going to be the next René Auberjonois of sci-fi, ever present and enriching.
What roles would you like to see him in?

This video of Alan remembering lines from multiple characters had quite a few that I didn't know about.

Started with Death at a Funeral.
His stoned-out average man carries the story and the comedy from start to finish. This movie has some amazing performances but his stands out in a movie that sets the bar high.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil
A perfect foil to Dale's nice guy genius routine this supporting role is so subtle and hilarious at times. Makes me think that PBR could actually heal wounds.
A Knights Tale
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern in a modernish Arthur inspired flick. I don't think he got enough screen time and at moments felt like he was battling Bettany for comic relief. Still entertaining as hell.
He just seems to have so many great supporting roles on his CV. I feel like I could do this marathon again and again.
Edit: These are just the movies that we watched last night during our improvised movie marathon. I agree Firefly, Serenity, Rogue One, Wreck-It Ralph, Doom Patrol, etc. are also great roles!
Edit 2: Canterbury Tales blah blah blah. Got it.
Edit 3: Zooooooooooootopiaaaaaaaaaaa

I’m sure most people who watch Resident Alien are familiar with Alan Tudyk’s work/filmography, but just in case it’s new to you, i can’t recommend Tucker and Dale vs. Evil enough. I was talking with my husband last night and realized he’d never seen it. So we righted that wrong immediately (it’s currently available on Amazon Prime). We’ve all got a Patience size hole in our hearts until it (hopefully) returns, so do yourself a favor and give T & D vs. E a watch. You will not be dissapointed.

My name is Alan Tudyk (pronounced Tyoo Dik). I am a Pieces, I love long walks in the mountains and short walks on the beach. I like medium length walks in fields of grain but medium short to medium-long walks among tuberous crops like potato’s or beets and sometimes carrots. I prefer sprints in bear infested forests and have written off chickens as stupid. My band’s name is Hot Gazpacho. I am currently seeking a replacement drummer, a lead guitarist, a base player, a lead singer, a few backup singers, instruments and a musical style loved by all.

Me and my sister watch the show together and are always cracking up because of Harry and his insults. He is such a good alien im lowkey starting to think he’s meant one before and is basing his character on a real alien. Even his voice overs are in character, hearing voice cracks and what not. Its the small details that makes it believable i mean shoot the way he sleeps, runs, even eating that damn pie at the diner. This man deserves an award for his acting Alan Tudyk is a pro!

Oh my god, this man delivers every single line so perfectly- this is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen and I have a hard time remembering he’s a real man and not actually an alien. I know this may sound stupid and not really critically looking at the show but it’s just so funny to me I think he’s a great actor. Give this man an Oscar or whatever they give tv show actors idk he’s incredible.

I am so impressed how after 3 seasons, he commits and commits so hard to playing a complex character with some very borderline scenes (paddling Max, slurping D'arcy's face, smelling a feather, indifference to babies, etc.).
The clear contrast is the actor who plays Heather. She was great but I found her more hesitant in commitment to the level of weirdness her alien character represented.
I may need the mug.

I have missed many chances to see him at a comic con. Do just wondering, how he is in real life. He is one of a kind on screen.

The premise is funny, the writing is good, but I started watching due to Tudyk and was not let down!
