Carol doesn’t have any villains that could slot into the current MCU without major retooling.

Deathbird, Mystique and Rogue were co-opted by the X-Men, with all three currently being on the side of good.

Minn-Erva? Dead in the MCU. Yon-Rogg? More of a Mar-Vell villain in the comics and powerless against Carol in the MCU.

They could do Warbird, the alternate reality version of Carol, but without the motivation of her being a serial killer of Multiversal Rogues, she doesn’t make any kind of sense to target Carol.

That leaves pretty much just the villains from the current Kelly Thompson run, but Vox Supreme needs the build-up from Death of the Inhumans to make sense, Amora is a Thor villain (and Thor fans would riot if she doesn’t show up in his corner of the universe), her son with Namor, Ove, doesn’t make sense without the context of his alternate future and even then, Namor only just showed up, so why introduce a more powerful, magically-enhanced version of him as his son?

That leaves Star. Who’s the living embodiment of the Reality Stone. Which no longer exists in the MCU.

Unless Marvel Studios chooses to use Marcus Immortus in a non-SA storyline. It could work, but it could also majorly backfire.

So yeah, Marvel Studios needs to pull out D-listers from the Kree Empire because now they’ve tied Carol directly to the Kree.
