NFL Draft Predictions - Get Them in Now!

What unexpected fantasy-relevant NFL draft move are you predicting? Who falls, who goes surprisingly early, who pulls off a blockbuster trade? Who knows you might get something right and be a verified oracle in a few days time.

I have a sneaky feeling we might get a trade for Higgins for a 2nd rounder, and Bengals dipping for another, younger WR.

There have been nineteen 40+ TD seasons by QBs in NFL history. Only three were not Pro Bowl selections: 2011 Matt Stafford, 2021 Matt Stafford, and 2020 Tom Brady.

I saw some discussion Stafford’s lack of Pro Bowls as a knock against his HoF candidacy. Hopefully this adds a little context - the poor guy is one of seven QBs ever with multiple 40 passing TD seasons (Marino, Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Mahomes, Stafford) and was snubbed both times.

Honestly for as good as Kyler Murray was in ‘20/‘21 it’s pretty wild he made it twice over 40+ TD passers who went on to win the Super Bowl that year.

[Jeff Zrebiec] Ravens 7-round NFL mock draft

Jeff Zrebiec's 7 round Ravens Mock Draft (The Athletic)

Round 1, No. 30: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

The preference here would be to trade back and get an additional Day 2 pick, and I think there’s a decent chance that’s what DeCosta does Thursday night. Washington, which has second-round picks at Nos. 36 and 40, three third-rounders and rumored to be eyeing a move back into the first round, is a potential trade partner. However, DeCosta will have to be confident there will be a player available the Ravens really like. Maybe the hope is that offensive tackle Jordan Morgan (Arizona) or Kingsley Suamataia (BYU) will still be available in the early second, or maybe the Ravens really like one of the second-tier corners, such as Missouri’s Ennis Rakestraw Jr. or Iowa State’s T.J. Tampa.

For this mock, the Ravens stay put and draft McKinstry, a smart and athletic corner who never missed a game at Alabama and plays with the type of intelligence and intensity that Baltimore would love. At 5-foot-11, 196 pounds, McKinstry doesn’t have elite speed, but he’s long, plays under control and has very good technique. He’ll have a chance to contribute immediately at outside cornerback, where the Ravens lack depth.
