As Jordan no doubt already knows, there is someone who has probably, technically, killed someone, and that man is Christopher Lee. • As Jordan no doubt already knows, there is someone who has probably, technically, killed someone, and that man is Christopher Lee.

Peter Jackson: "When Wormtongue rises up and comes up behind Saruman to stab him, of course it was my job as director to talk to Christopher Lee and to explain what I wanted. So I started to go into this long explanation about what sort of sound he should make when he got stabbed."

Christopher Lee: "I seem to recall that I did say to Peter, 'have you any idea what kind of noise happens when someone is stabbed in the back?' and I said 'because I do.' It's not a "AHHH!" it's a 'uhh!' because the breath is driven out of your body."

Peter Jackson: "He proceeded to sort of talk about some very clandestine part of World War 2. He seemed to have expert knowledge of exactly the sort of noise that they make, and so I sort of didn't push the subject and said 'well you obviously know what to do, Christopher, I'm sure you'll do it great' and he did."

I'm going back through the archibes, so maybe I just haben't heard it yet, but do the boys eber comment on alex's absolute butchering ob the letter "v"? I hear it ebery single time alex does it, is it just that Dan/Jordan listen to so much ob him that it doesn't register and/or rise to the lebel ob something worth commenting on? I know Dan has commented on some ob alex's dumb berbal tics before, at least the ones that aren't obbiously dialectical (hu-beris, omnibudsman, etc.).

Feel free to rant about any other ob alex's speaking tics if you like.

just kidding, we all know it's because boiced labiodental fricatibes are a globalist plot, it's in the white papers

It's an excellent documentation of a delusional narcissistic conman practicing their craft of "gish gallop" against something that will never be caught up.

This should be saved and studied for generations.

Also if Lauren Bouchard got the transcript and made this into a squiggle vision version with Coach McGuirk that would be great.

Anyone else having this issue? I have to increase my phone volume to the highest it can go to hear the podcast on my ear buds. Can't use Google maps with it because it is a jump scare every time you get directions as it is so much louder.

ETA: Comments on here made me realize this is a spotify only issue. For anyone else with this problem.

Go to settings > Playback > turn off volume normalization.

After hearing/reading about this story in the Twin Cities north metro(MN) I thought of right wing grift. This fellow finds religious conservatives to give him $10,000 as a down payment for homes in a future religiously centered home developement. Due to being the guy being shady and christian bigotry the proposed developements will never get built.

The following bit from the article really stood out-

"The fine print said down payments are "non-refundable after 30 days."

Ibrahim Ghaleb of Anoka told KARE 11 he paid the $10,000 and believes many others have as well, but he doesn't want a refund.

"I want this project to go through," Ghaleb said. "I don't understand why they won't approve it."

This describes so much of the InfoWars audience and the kind of messaging that would appeal to them.

I'm not sure how to describe this, but is there a term or concept in comedy for closing a long show with an answer to a long-forgotten question raised at the beginning? • I'm not sure how to describe this, but is there a term or concept in comedy for closing a long show with an answer to a long-forgotten question raised at the beginning?

Dan and Jordan do this from time to time, and I've seen it before in other comedy shows as well. It has to be an intentional construction and its beautiful when done well. Like the title says, I'm not sure how best to describe it, but it seems to go something like this:

  1. Start the episode or show with some kind of question. For example, is Roger going to influence Alex on today's episode? Is this the moment when Alex suddenly changes his political positions? Something like that, could be anything. Dan's the one preparing the episode, so he could set this up just for his own amusement.

  2. The episode continues for the better part of two hours, spanning all sorts of topics. Halfway through you've completely forgotten what opened the show or started this whole conversation.

  3. Show wraps up.

  4. Dan drops either a "as a reminder, Alex was going to do X on air" or "well we didn't answer the question about Roger" and Jordan reacts because he too has completely forgotten the original thing.

Like I said, I've seen it before elsewhere too. I remember a skit from long ago where two old men are sitting on a porch, one asks the other how did X happen, this launches a very long rambling story that drifts topics and involves halfway-remembered relatives, carrying on and on until you've completely forgotten what started it, until it finally wraps up with a "and that's how X happened!" and you finally remember that's what they were originally talking about.

I just don't know enough about comedy to know what this is called, but I would like to read more about it if I could figure out the term for it. Is this called something, or is it just a form of misdirection?

Someone recently posted a link to a Spotify Playlist of Alex Jones Drunk KF episodes (incomplete?). It’s been so nice to go back to older episodes when the boys were just figuring things out. Jordan was unhinged. Dan was “unfiltered. Alex was a shithead. Nice, long episodes. Plenty of rants all around.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with how far KF has come. They’ve created something profound. They’ve had an impact on the zeitgeist. But there’s nothing like Dan going off on how much he hates Jerome Corsi (episode 149).
