I think it’s likely that he is as well.

He went from being like 85kg to competing at ultra heavy. It’s hard to do that and not gain a ton of fat— unless you take gear.

We don’t know for sure of course but… I think he most likely is.

You can shoot takedowns head on. Striking requires you to move laterally and plant hard. Lateral movement and being able to plant your feet is what is compromised when having a torn ACL.

My point is it’s possible for someone to be born in a country and not speak / read / write the language well because they are insulated in their community and mainly speak their first language at home.

This is extremely common in many parts of the US. Miami, NYC, etc.
