NFL
We’re less than a week out.. what’s the one thing you wish to see happen on draft night?
I personally think the offseason "wastelands" are always better than people expect. Unless they're blatantly tanking or rebuilding (like the Cardinals last year or Texans 2 years ago), teams that rank at the bottom of power rankings almost always outperform expectations. So what team is the biggest wasteland going into the season? And who is the buy on that team who will outperform expectations?

Being the most popular sport on television in the US, surely there is enough demand to have more than 32 teams? Europe has hundreds of pro soccer teams and college football seems to have to make up for a lack of NFL franchises in the US.
The only thing I can think of is that they want each team to be massive, but some massive cities such as San Antonio don't even have a team?
Surely there is enough demand for another 8 teams?
EDIT: apparently it's due to a lack of quality or healthy quarterbacks. I hadn't thought of this.
EDIT 2: okay, apparently it's about money.
Gotta throw in Julio Jones vs the Panthers secondary that one game he went for 300 yards receiving.

Man so excited that the draft is only a week away. It’s been a minute since I’ve been so excited Ramily. I guess not having a first round pick in 7 years will do that to you. I’m tired of the guessing and the mock drafts. I’m ready to see who our future rams will be. I have a feeling it can honestly go so many ways with Snead and McVay. I do have a feeling we will get a WR whether we trade up to get one that may fall a little bit or maybe we can land Brian Thomas. I just don’t feel the edge players are good enough to take at 19. So depending who is there we may trade down but regardless it’s good to be able to watch day 1 and actually care about what will happen.

Just for fun, today I decided to learn google sheet "programming" in order to build the ultimate* tool to follow the NFL draft as it goes. I had found a great programmed excel sheet for last year, but this year I couldn't find one that fit my personal criteria and wanted to build my own. Better ones already exist I'm sure, but if a better one exists that fits my specific use cases, I'd love to know.
* this is subjective
My use cases were as follows:
I wanted a way to compare where players are actually picked compared to .
I wanted a way to evaluate trades based on my two favorite trade charts (Rich Hill and Fitzgerald-Spielberger) inside google sheets. (I have a python program to do this, but I needed something portable for this draft).
Finally, both of these functions should be simple to operate.
Here is the result of my hard work, note that you will need to copy it if you want to play with it:

The NFL today is almost like a different game compared to the way it was played back in the day. The players were often bloody and muddy, the quarterbacks weren’t treated like fragile primadonnas, and the logos and lore were legendary. If you are nostalgic for the Gridiron greatness of the past, this sub is for you.
