Quick Tips For Anyone Coming to Columbia for the Liverpool friendly
Quick Tips For Anyone Coming to Columbia for the Liverpool friendly

Hey everyone, if you’re coming to Columbia for the match tomorrow and aren’t used to the extreme summer heat of the south please be aware that this place is like walking on a humid sun at times. I grew up here and still can’t quite comprehend that United are in my hometown. The temps will be well over 30 degrees Celsius with humidity that makes it feel much much worse (it’s supposed to feel like 37 degrees.) For my Americans here it’s going to be in the upper 80s and feel close to 100. You know the drill if you’re from the south.

So, please make sure you drink water between your pints and drinks before the match tomorrow. You’ll need it. We do a lot of Tailgaiting around the stadium here in SC (because there’s nothing around the stadium itself really) so if you see fellow reds don’t be afraid to say hello. Who knows they may let you have some of their bbq. Also, it may thunderstorm but that can make things worse after it finishes raining because the humidity will literally make it feel like you’re walking in a sauna.

If you’re in town Friday night, I recommend checking out The Vista downtown. Lots of bars and restaurants to visit. It’s very walkable and easy to bar hop if you want to. Five Points is also a bar area but that’s more for the students at the University but feel free to check it out too if a younger crowd is your scene. If you have the time, definitely walk around “the Horseshoe” at the University of South Carolina. It’s the original campus from 1801 and features some incredible old oak trees and southern architecture from the time.

There’s no public transit that’s useful for getting to the match itself so give yourself plenty of time to get down there. Although there is going to be a shuttle from the colonial life arena but expect long queues for that and horrible traffic once you’re on it.

Welcome to “famously hot” Columbia, South Carolina y’all. Excited to share this place with everyone coming. Up the fucking reds.

[Chris Wheeler] Erik ten Hag hints at Tyrell Malacia's return date, injured Rasmus Hojlund recovers in a cyrotherapy chamber - and why Leny Yoro's absence isn't all bad

Welcome to the multiverse "Alternative History" thread - courtesy of u/glunkbor: https://www.reddit.com/r/reddevils/comments/1ehnywa/discussion_thread_mod_for_a_day/lg0ydnq/?context=3

The gist of this thread is as follows:

  • Post a prompt that tweaks, or revises, some aspect of United's history

  • Members of the sub are then invited to create a fictional future based upon that tweak - in other words, their prediction of how the future for United would have shaped up if that event had occurred as Op stated.

Be creative, have fun, and let's see what people think.

[Laurie Whitwell] Ten Hag on Zirkzee/Sancho: "They are in two very different situations. Jadon is in pre-season, he is on tour, Joshua had played in Euros, then had his break, now started training this week. We have to assess + we will pick a team capable to win the game against Man City." #MUFC
