My dumbest ticket this week

User sends in ticket: “I am have STILL having printer problems. I set the job to color and print on each side and it comes out B&W single sided. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED”

I check the ticket history, 0 tickets for this guy for printers.

Connect to his computer, he opens the print properties, selects the options and hits X cause there’s no apply button. Have him hit OK instead. Print job works.

He says, “well that option wasn’t there before. Hopefully this continues to work”

I said "Not really" to the interviewer during behavioural

Basically went through the HR / behavioural round after two technicals recently and was so nervous I replied with "Not really" when the interviewer asked me if I have any questions for them 😭 dk if I just wasted jumping the hoops of the technical rounds only to mess it all up in the HR round 😔

I hope I'm not alone, pls drop y'alls non-technical interview mishaps here so we can cringe together 😭😭

Normalising salaries for entry level positions and less than 2 yrs exp roles

I regularly see posts of folks who have started hitting good salary figures (20L plus). Happy for you peeps, however when I speak to people offline, the distribution seems different.

Yesterday I was speaking to a chap from Kolkata who was desperate for a job after a 6month break. Most colleges haven't finished their placement process and thus the entry level salary distribution seems to be skewed towards 2-3Lpa.

Is there industry data that shows what is the average and median salaries that the average Joe can make?
