Update post

We were able to take the titles to her houses & property. She doesn't know the motivation. She made a comment at dinner a week ago about how she was going to start selling everything to be with her boyfriend. She trusts me a lot so I was the only she told. I had to snitch on her to keep her from doing this. Her surviving children got attorneys and they were able to essentially trick her into signing over the deeds.

It's terrible we had to do this. But she has already closed out one bank account and has sent at least $4,000 to this man. He promised her that he'd build her a big beautiful house and they'd get married and live in it together. She had no incentive to keep her home, her land, or the home of my deceased great grandma. She was going to piss it all away and we had to stop her.

My aunt is trying to get on her checking account. We think she opened a secret second account as I saw the paperwork in her car. We are having an intervention when the papers are finalized. We don't want her to know the true motivation of why we did what we did. I hate having to lie, manipulate, and essentially "steal" from her. But it was for her own good. It was to save her from herself. She would've lost everything.

We are not out of the woods yet unfortunately. We still have to do an intervention and worry about the monetary issues. We don't know if she is taking out loans or not and her cars are still in her name. So there's the possibility that she's going to sell off those and take out loans she can't pay back. It's been a nightmare few weeks.

Thank you for reading. If anyone has any tips for the intervention please feel free to comment.
