Oh totally. I hated going out as THUG #2 or TYRONE, but I was getting submitted and getting seen. Building relationships with casting is important to be seen for the big jobs (and doing the shit indie films as a favor to preserve relationships). That’s done a lot with marketing.

And I stated that, that typecasting was great advice for getting your foot in the door. But once you’re value is higher to the studios, you have more leverage to how your image is portrayed.

No one is willing to CGI my facial hair… yet 😭😭

I’m the same as you and it’s breaking my spirit how they don’t let you do you. It’s not even about moving fast, for me, it’s being very accurate cause when I’m picking the first thing I get is the correct item.

I usually ask to go to pallets at this point. But yeah, it’s an algorithm and based on percentages. So envision you at your 500rph as like a T-Rex in the jungle. You drop average people in the bottom percentile, you frustrate water spiders, and if the volume is low, they’ll give you bulk of the work because you can handle it. You/We are workhorses and work horses carry the most load until they die.

What? Getting typecast as an actor is a great way to continuously getting hired. You make casting’s job so easy: If I say I need a “Michael Cera” type, your mind immediately starts thinking of characters in that vain he played, thus, actors who can play that.

That’s the working actor advice to get your foot in the door. I think it works against a AAA actor, but I could be wrong since I’m on the picket lines for my rent 🙃. But, unless it devalues him, being typecast as a HIMBO hunk — I don’t see that archetype going out of style TBH.

Now with Thor, different story. I don’t know his villains catalogue extensively, but I want to see him drop the comedy act and get that confident Thor attitude he had when he stabbed Thanos.

I think Kreia advocates that if the woman really wants her daughter’s liberation, she would sell herself to slavery and escape with her.

I try to, but it’s a struggle. I constantly break immersion and ask myself “damn, I wish I could do x,y,z”. Sometimes some things won’t make sense, unless my ally was trying to sabotage me in-universe (which I don’t see my family doing!)

I’m working with the overall story of my main and his brothers are conquering Calradia for their kids to rule. Being Aserai in culture and in kingdom, my main will become ruler of the Aserai and my daughter will be queen, my brother and his sons will rule the Khagit lands and when my youngest bro have kids, they’ll rule Sturgia lands.

But then I feel sad that I can’t go in depth with legacy play throughs and then begin imagining what the game can be. This is all without mods on console, btw

Or a bait and switch “showcase”, where you’ll read some sides, get told how unique and ready your child is but they just need to sign with them and buy their expensive (but on sale only for today, act now!) package from their photographer (whose just one of them with a camera) and it already includes your submission fee… oh, you didn’t know it costs to submit you for non-union projects (yeah, like 15/month to be a member of a legitimate site, they’ll sell you as if the agent is pitching you, curating auditions fit for you, and inflate the price to like $50 per submission). So the package is $2000.

After gaining my 10 years in the biz, I’m compelled to go to these ballroom auditions and blow their shits up. Arm parents with knowledge and pressing questions to expose these auditors. Shame
