What a weird crusade to persecute one person and obsess over strangers’ genitals

The Trans Community DESERVES a Sorry After this Issue in the Olympics

It really never will. Every time I’m reminded he fucked a couch I laugh uproariously like it’s the first time I heard it.

Tall girl is extremely salty

I’m a 5’11 tran and most of my partners have been within 2” of my height when I was a man and after.

I prefer it. I like looking my partner straight in the eye without her looking up at me. My 5’7 girlfriend’s modest height differential still made me look down to kiss her or hunch over to put my neck on her shoulder from behind.

It’s a minor gripe and not worth dismissing a mate over. But still, tall girls are for me more desirable.

What’s one thing you wish cis-people knew about the trans experience?

WHen you find some it's going to be such an experience for you. One of the other parents at my kids daycare is trans, and I'd seen her in the halls but never talked to her until a daycare function on a weekend. Instant chemistry, and it's like the express lane for closeness and emotional intimacy. You skip most of the small talk and icebreaker stuff and go straight to the heavy, because they already know most of your backstory because they've lived it.

We've been the best of friends since, and when our kids ended up in the same room last year it's only gotten better. Both of our toddlers live completely parallel lives as single kids of split parents of a cis and trans mom, are each other's best friends at this point, and will have a lot to talk about when they're teenagers.

Genuinely pretty well. My breasts have been growing for six months, I look great in a two-piece, changed my documents last year, and figured out my wardrobe and identity about six/seven years ago.

I wish I’d known it was my voting patterns that did it, I just thought it was this bottle of pills. Could have saved me a lot of effort to just “let nature take its course.”

That’s all it takes? I’ve wasted so much time and resources on doctors, labwork, and estrogen.

'Unfit for any office': Trump slammed for 'ranting like a lunatic in middle of night'

It’s not so much that it legitimizes the transes, but it does challenge the worldview that trans is abnormal and cis is normal. Their argument is that they don’t need an adjective. There are trans women and “regular” women, for example.

One wouldn’t use the same dichotomy with Black people and “just people” to represent white people (these examples are reductive and binary for simplicity).

Giving the majority a label pulls it out of being “the default” and equalized its position with the minorities, and they HATE that

How do people hide bulges in women’s jeans etc

This.

I’ve been very surprised at some modest shrinkage and it’s affected me in a very negative way. Male pride seems to be something I didn’t give up on the transition.

Silver linings. I went from a swimdress last year to the skimpiest triangle two piece after only six months of E. And look great. It’s got decent bulge support being maybe a size smaller than I’d appropriate, and being kind of tighter helps hold a tuck in place.

The townspeople can tell if they really scrutinize, but given the number of camel toes at the pool, my equipment on display isn’t that offensive. They have two lumps, I have three. In passing though, it, well… passes.

What's currently stopping you from dating?

PixTwinklestar

Trans middle aged recently divorced with a kid in a conservative state.

It’s an issue of available suitable partners.

But I’m also not in a huge hurry and like another Redditor said “make my life better and don’t cramp my space.” I’m kind of living for myself at the moment and settling for anything I can get is not a healthy long term choice.

Opposite gender in video games?

Yeah ME1 kind of gave you options with Liara, who was essentially nonbinary and could mate with either character, but the Asari were clearly coded female, so yeah if you're gynephilic you're set. If male and into guys, tough titties.

I did not like that in Fallout 4 it fell into the EveryoneIsBi trope. It's just not realistic, even if it allowed any PC to romance any companion.

New Vegas was amazing for having companions that some were bi, others were strictly hetero, and some were strictly homo. Play as a girl and think Arcade Gannon is cute? 1) You're wrong; and 2) too bad he's just not into you and you can't make him love you or "turn him." and 3) he's such a gay bitch

Oh sweetie. Every time. All my fallout characters are female. My Mass Effect commander German Sheperd was female. I've been a girl in every game all the way back to always choosing Natalya (and Facility, but that's a separate tragedy).

Edited: correction -- on NES I played as Papergirl too. That might be my earliest title.

What might men dislike the most if they were to become women?

PixTwinklestar

Catcalls. Being on guard all the time. Messaging from society you’re not good enough and you can’t never win. You’re either easy or a prude, etc. Vanity sizing and not using standardized units: inches, cm, cubits, angstroms, anything.

Every show has one: Just straight up evil.

PixTwinklestar
commented

Most responses are for characters who did bad things, like the Equinox captain.

They all did those things for a reason. Very Machiavellian. Truly evil is doing it just to do it.

Either the Borg Queen, though arguably every crime committed against trillions is just her nature, as is a scorpion’s.

Or Fear. He tortures people and keeps them alive just to torture them.

What might women dislike the most if they were to become men?

PixTwinklestar

They will suddenly be seen as a threat everywhere, and that camaraderie that women enjoys as strangers—with the random complimenting each others styles, eye contact, nonverbal communication—evaporates.

Source: trans. Womanhood was eye opening and such a warmer welcoming life.
