The Tomb is Empty

He is risen!

It’s a time to rejoice. It’s important to remember that all the horrible things that are happening now — and I don’t have to tell you that there are plenty of them — are mere ephemera. We have to endure them, and they may well put us through suffering, but we don’t have to concern ourselves with them.

The Lord is holding us in the palm of His hand.

Happy Easter, everybody!

A Culture-Enriching Easter in Sweden

I’m posting this now, because by the time I get up in the morning, the window of opportunity for an Easter terrorist attack in Sweden (and the rest of Europe) will already have passed.

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from Samhällsnytt:

Terror threat against churches at Easter

March 28, 2024

Before Easter and in the wake of the Muslim terror attack in Moscow, the terror threat in Europe has lately been judged as high. In addition to Easter masses, many large events are coming up in Sweden, such as Eurovision in Malmö.

At least 137 people were killed in the terror attack against Crocus City Hall outside Moscow. In France, the terror threat level has been raised to the highest level, and in Germany, an “acute risk” is accessed. In Italy, armed police will be on patrol.

On the eve of Easter, which is the Swedish Church’s busiest period of the year after Christmas, the country’s churches are on guard.

The Swedish Church’s civil preparedness chief Lisa-Gun Bernerstedt tells SVD news that there is no information that the church would be especially singled out, but that all faith communities should be alert.

“It is clear that with an increased threat level, preparations and awareness have increased. The importance of making assessments prior to every event that brings in a lot of people is important,” she tells the newspaper.

Regardless of the world situation, the Swedish Church will remain open, and wants to “signal its presence, openness, and hope.”

Sharia Law Dehumanizes Women

The following report by Clare Lopez was published earlier this month by Sharia TipSheet.

Women Under Sharia

Sharia Law Dehumanizes Women

by Clare M. Lopez

We’re all still dealing with the abominations committed by HAMAS and civilian Gazan jihadis on October 7, 2023. Israelis will be dealing with the horrors perpetrated against their women and girls for the rest of their lives. In fact, we should not, must not forget. Not now, during the month of March, which is Women’s History Month, and not ever. The theme running through all of this month’s articles is the dehumanization of women that seems hard-wired into Islamic Law (sharia) — or at least the way sharia culture is inculcated into the men who grow up under its influence.

“Document Shows Iranian Protester Raped Before Murder” by Nika Shakarami at Iran International, February 21, 2024

  • The Iran International Iranian dissident group, that produces TV programming and published articles from its London headquarters, seems able repeatedly to breach the servers of official Iranian regime agencies. Here, the group has obtained a trove of documents from inside the Iranian judiciary. This report documents a “state sanctioned campaign of sexual violence” against protesters during the “Women, Life, Freedom” protests that swept through Iran following the murder of Mahsa Amini by Iranian police in 2022. Sexual violence against Iranian dissidents and protesters, both male and female, has been a recurring abuse documented throughout the now 45-year rule of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

You Were in Their Territory — You Should Have Worn the Veil

The Italian journalist Eugenia Fiore recently paid a visit to a no-go zone in France as part of her investigation into the murder of a high school teacher by a culture-enriching “youth” named Mohammed. She and her camera crew were attacked for filming in front of a mosque, and Ms. Fiore was knocked to the ground, beaten, and kicked. The police were of no help. They averred that the journalist was, after all, Muslim territory, and besides, she hadn’t been veiled.

You had it coming to you, girl!

The Muslim Brotherhood in Sweden, Part 18

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from Nyheter Idag:

City of Stockholm grants one million kronor to Ibn Rushd — stops contributions to association against honor violence

March 28, 2024

Last December the city of Stockholm paused a planned payment of 3.9 million kronor to the controversial study association Ibn Rushd after the Public Education Council determined that the study association’s teaching materials dealt with child abuse, child marriage, and described homosexuality as a sin. But on Tuesday, the Cultural Committee in Stockholm decided to resume the payments, Swedish Radio reports.

The criticized material was reportedly used by the study association in other places than in Stockholm, and after Ibn Rushd came back with a plan of action as the city was visiting the association’s operations, the payments to the association were resumed.

At the same time, the city of Stockholm stopped payments of 600,000 kronor per year to the association “Never forget Peta and Fadime” (GAPF), which works against honor oppression. The reason is that a board member of the association put up postings on his private Facebook page that the city views as breaking the city’s guidelines.

GAPF states in a press release that it has distanced itself from the board member’s now-deleted posts and that the association has taken measures such as updating its communication policy and ethical guidelines, as well as conducting training for staff and personnel, but the city of Stockholm is standing by its decision.

“We wonder how the city really works within democracy. How can a study association that has links to the Muslim Brotherhood and has been involved in brokering temporary marriage contracts, i.e. trafficking in women’s bodies according to a disclosure by Uppdrag Gransking [Assignment Examination] qualify for support but not us, who strongly help and protect vulnerable women and girls?” says Sara Mohammad, founder of GAPF, in a statement.

Since the election, the city of Stockholm has been run by a coalition made up of Social Democrats, the Left Party, and the Green Party.

I’ve Just Seen a Face I Can’t Forget

I was browsing through Philadelphia crime reports and came across this image in the header of a press release issued by the city’s district attorney:

The contents of the press release are unimportant. What I’m interested in is the little face peering from between the breasts of Lady Justice.

Who is that creature, and why does he appear in such intimate propinquity with the bosom of the damsel of blind justice?

Is he an angel? A demon? Maybe a homunculus growing from his hostess’s breastbone?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Readers who have any idea of what we may be looking at here are invited to leave suggestions in the comments. Speculation is fine, but I’m hoping someone who is local to Philly may have a first-hand acquaintance with this statue, which is probably in the courthouse.

My greatest concern, of course, is that the little imp may be sexually harassing Lady Justice. We can’t have that, now, can we?

Interview With Edwin Wagensveld

I’ve reported in the past (most recently here) on the actions by Edwin Wagensveld, the leader of the Dutch branch of Pegida, who has publicly torn up and burned Korans, provoking a violent response from “Dutch” culture-enrichers and causing him to be arrested by police multiple occasions. Mr. Wagensveld was recently banned from entering the town of Arnhem.

Below is an interview with Edwin Wagensveld conducted by Vlad Tepes. Many thanks to RAIR Foundation for uploading this video:

Searchers have recovered the bodies of two victims of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore. The bodies were located inside a trapped vehicle that had been submerged by the collapse. The remaining four victims are thought to be buried under the structural steel and rubble of the collapsed bridge, so further searching has been called off.

In other news, new crime statistics from the German city of Frankfurt show that foreigners are responsible for 100% of all serious sexual assault crimes.

Breaking Bad

I don’t know about you, but after a hard day of starvation, I like to break my Ramadan fast with a yummy bar of KitKat™ Iftar chocolate!

My sweetie feels the same way — as soon as the sun sets, she can’t wait to go behind the modesty screen, lift the top of her burka, and break off a delicious bite of KitKat®.

Seriously, though — this report from Canada is pretty sickening. I’m used to corporate pandering to the Muslim market, but this Iftar chocolate product is really pushing the envelope.

Below are excerpts from a report by RAIR Foundation on this popular halal product. I couldn’t bear to embed the two KitKat© commercials, but I include links to the videos (or you can see the embeds in the original). Marion Maréchal is a different matter, though — I left in the embed of her video:

Ramadan Conquest: Nestlé’s KitKat ‘Iftar Bars’ and Western Cultural Erosion

by Amy Mek

Nestle Iftar bars represent not a celebration of multiculturalism but rather a troubling trend of cultural appeasement and submission to Islam.

The launch of Nestlé’s KitKat Iftar Bars in Canada for Ramadan is another example of Western corporations promoting the Islamization of nations for profit. This move, marketed as a gesture of “inclusivity” to a religion that does not extend inclusivity beyond Islam, is viewed as a calculated attempt to profit financially while undermining the cultural identity of the host nation.

While regular KitKats typically feature two or four chocolate-covered wafer fingers, this Islamized version boasts 30 fingers — one for each day of the holy month.

Nestle Canada claims that this Ramadan snack was crafted to honor the Iftar tradition observed by Muslims, where they break their fast at sunset with an evening meal after abstaining from food and drink throughout the morning and afternoon during Ramadan. With KitKat’s iconic advertising slogan, “Have a break,” the company aims to celebrate the breaking of the fast at sundown.

However, these Nestle Iftar bars represent not a celebration of multiculturalism but rather a troubling trend of cultural appeasement and submission to Islam. This trend is not unique to Canada; it’s seen throughout Europe, with initiatives like Ramadan lights in Oslo, Norway, and Frankfurt, Germany, symbolizing a broader pattern of accommodation that threatens Western cultural identity.

The container ship MV Dali lost power when leaving Baltimore harbor this morning, causing the vessel to crash into a support column of Francis Scott Key Bridge, triggering a catastrophic collapse. Two people who were cast into the waters of the estuary were rescued, while six others are missing and presumed dead. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden claimed he had taken a commuter rail on the bridge many times, even though there was no rail line on the bridge.

Data Points

On November 24, 2015 a Turkish F-16 shot down a Russian Su-24 supersonic tactical bomber over either Syria (the Russian version) or Turkey (the Turkish version). The crew ejected from the Russian aircraft, and one of them met a horrible fate when he parachuted into the hands of the mujahideen of a Turkmen militia in Syria.

As might be expected, the Russian government objected vehemently to what the Turks had done, and demanded that the Turkish government make amends. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was defiant, however, and responded belligerently to Russia’s communications. He continued with his customary bombast and braggadocio for months afterwards.

As I followed these events in the news, I assumed that Turkey would eventually pay a price for its actions. Russia does not let that sort of attack go unanswered, especially one that is carried out by a less powerful adversary. But the Russians were (and are) patient and thorough, and I knew they would wait until the moment was right to exact their revenge on the strutting popinjay of Anatolia.

Mr. Erdogan continued in the same vein until the middle of the following June, when he suddenly changed his tune. Without any prior indication of contrition, on June 27, 2016 he made a groveling apology to Russia, obsequiously asking forgiveness for Turkey’s “mistake”.

A few days before the Turkish president said sorry, the Russian government had cut off all flights across the Black Sea to Turkey. The Anatolian beach resorts were favored destinations for Russian holidaymakers during the summer months, so this was a significant move. The Russian government also advised any of its citizens who were in Turkey to leave.

For his part, Mr. Putin declined to accept Mr. Erdogan’s apology. He said that unfortunately, an apology was not enough, and that Turkey needed to experience harsher consequences.

At that point I said to Vlad: “Holy [excrement]! Putin is about to do something to Turkey — wait and see!”

It was one of those rare occasions when, after putting a lot of data points together, I went out on a limb and made a specific prediction, on the record, with Vlad as my witness.

On June 28, 2016 — the very next day — a group of mujahideen carried out a suicide bombing attack at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul. 45 people were killed and more than 200 others wounded. Vladimir Putin expressed his sincerest condolences to the citizens of Turkey for the horrible tragedy that had befallen them.

Strangely enough, no terror group ever claimed credit for the attack. The attackers were eventually identified, and they hailed from the “stans” — Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Their atrocity may have been organized and coordinated by Chechen terrorists.

The FSB, continuing the work of its Soviet-era KGB predecessors, is known to have thoroughly penetrated all the terrorist networks in that part of Central Asia.

All of the above data points led me to conclude that Vladimir Putin had ordered the hit on the airport in Istanbul. As far as I’m concerned, that’s a fact, regardless of whether it can ever be proven.

Turkey was required to experience harsh consequences for shooting down a Russian jet, and it did. Afterwards Mr. Putin and Mr. Erdogan shook hands and made up. Cordial relations between the two countries were re-established.

And you can bet that Turkey will never, ever shoot down another Russian jet, not as long as Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in power.

Here are some relevant data points that I have observed:
