What are some unexpected NFL statistics do you have comparing players?

For example

Kenny Pickett had a career interception percentage of 1.82. Big Ben had an interception percentage of 2.49.

Jim Harbaugh has more rushing yards than Bo Jackson

Mark Sanchez has a higher career postseason passer rating (94.3) than Peyton Manning (87.4) and Tom Brady (89.8). This was over 6 games during which he went 4-2.

Patrick Mahomes threw one fewer interception in 2023 than Dak Prescott did in 2022.

You have to institute one rule from another sport to fit into the nfl. What rule and how do you make it work?

For instance, you could take what the NHL does and have a penalty box style scenario where a player who commits a personal foul has to sit out for 2 minutes of game time. What rule would you bring in from another sport?

NFL Teams Allegedly Breaking Rules to Contact Michigan Panthers’ Kicker Jake Bates

Yeah, mentioned this after week 1... seems there ARE rules in place against this.

Edited to add:

While the interest being drummed up for Bates from NFL teams is great for his career, it is actually against the rules as NFL teams are not allowed to contact UFL players during the season. NFL teams are allowed to contact UFL teams about their players, but they cannot directly contact or sign players under a UFL contract until after the conclusion of the UFL season.

Classic ESPN NFL Primetime highlights of NFL of Titans Jaguars from Week 3 of the 2004 NFL Season as Fred Taylor wins for the Jags on a game winning touchdown run
r/Oldschool_NFL

The NFL today is almost like a different game compared to the way it was played back in the day. The players were often bloody and muddy, the quarterbacks weren’t treated like fragile primadonnas, and the logos and lore were legendary. If you are nostalgic for the Gridiron greatness of the past, this sub is for you.

TIL that when the Fox TV channel began showing pro football in 1994, network executives had to promise the NFL and reporters that Bart Simpson would not be a commentator during games
