NBA 2K games have become a haven of bloat and crap.

I don't mind a b-ball game but fuck me the NBA 2k games are unreal in their propensity to make playing a game of basketball almost impossible are at the very least undesirable.

The last one I paid for was 15 and after the MyCareer fiasco wherein you have to sit through drafts and training etc to get on a team I swore I'd never pay again,

24 is on GP . Forward to 2KTV assaulting my ears before even a second is played in I'm the menus trying to turn off the badgering, inane talk of some fucking people I've never heard of and that are secondary to the basketball experience and the awful music, I mean godawful fucking music that they blast on top of that. So you've got not one BUT TWO competing sound tracks, both suicide worthy, vying for your attention.

This between the ads before you even get to this shitty experience (after one whose paid @80$ for the game one is immediately hit up for more cash... Once again before a second is played).

The amount of bloatware and advertising you have to sift through (how many fucking cards do I have to turn over before I can play?) is fucking insane.

These games haven't been enjoyable in years and this is why.

Rant over.

LOCKS OF THE DAY NBA DFS 4/4

finally had a losing night tonight, night slate should cash though. if any of you played cade today i am so so sorry, just absolute bullshit and they need to be investigated for that shit, absolutely wild. We have a nice tame slate tomorrow where we shouldn't have any random outs or scratches. some possible players sitting but no craziness. all these teams are playing for the playoff seeding so should be fine.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKKNezqoe60&feature=youtu.be

If discord is something you are interested in, Will have a link below where i have in-depth content going over each slate, player pools for cash/gpps. cores and much more.

Edit: tobais out, doesn't move the needle to much for me on liking any sixers. will wait for embiid/maxey news

Edit: kuminga could come off the bench today, warriors look v unappealing

Edit: kuminga out - feel better about the main guys. draymond is solid filler, i do like pods for value. trayce is still just gpp only for me. wiggins is okay. main guys i have interest in but no musts. steph is fine

NBA Player - Wrestler Comps

In honor of Wrestlemania weekend, below are the wrestler comps for today's NBA stars. Sorry, I'm old and lean Superstars/Attitude eras. Add your own.

  • LeBron - Hogan: legend, multi-champ, locker room politician/shadow GM/true powerbroker, famous face with famous heel turn, failed nepotism attempts, PEDs

  • Giannis - Andre the Giant: physical specimen, has had belt but doesn't need belt/is an attraction unto himself but really should be champ more

  • Jokic - Undertaker: kind of the same as above, but has belt more

  • Steph - Bret Hart: elite skills, multi-champ, beloved, reliable, family man, wholesome, famous families, maybe sometimes overlooked?

  • KD - Shawn Michaels: elite performer with elite skills but thin-skinned, frequently loses smile, everyone agrees is an all-timer that no one really likes

  • Harden - Marty Jannetty: because it's funny

  • McMahon - David Stern

  • Tim Donaghy - Nick Patrick

  • Zion - Yokozuna: physical gifts but with achilles heel

  • Embiid - Kevin Nash: physical gifts, hilarious, brains, questionable quad health

  • Harden - NWO era Scott Hall: because it's funny

  • Ja Morant - X Pac: Tyson zone cruiserweights

  • Wade - Macho Man Randy Savage: could challenge Hogan/LeBron during face run, then teamed up, with Chris Bosh = Miss Elizabeth

  • Duncan - Triple H (wrestler run): championships, did everything fundamentally right/checked every box, but kinda forgettable

  • Iverson - Mick Foley: punished body to concerning degrees

  • Rodman - Rodman

Boston Celtics have clinched the overall #1 seed and secured home-court advantage in the 2024 NBA playoffs after their win against the OKC Thunder. The last time the Celtics had a 60-win season? 15 years ago in 2008-09 season.

Non-Americans, what is the view of the NBA in your country?

I've recently seen a post of the value of NBA franchises exploding, dwarfing even the NFL in that sense. Of course, while the NFL is hugely popular in the US, it hasn't got the pull that the NBA has internationally. While that may not seem like that big of a deal now, if you look at football (soccer), you will notice that the Premier League, for example, draws more TV money from foreign countries than domestically.

Therefore I want to know about how the NBA is perceived in your homeland. Do people watch? Could you go to a group of people and reasonably expect to be able to have a simple conversation about it? How do you compare today's situation to that of ten or even five years ago? What teams do people support? Are people more linked to teams or players? Anything else you'd like to add, go for it.

Bama Hoopers in the NBA March Update

Here’s how Bama hoopers did in the NBA and G-League last month. The stat line for each player below is from the month of March.

NBA:

Noah Clowney: 2.1 PPG/ 2.6 REB/ 0.3 AST/ 38.6 TS% in 10.6 MPG

Rundown: Clowney was with the Nets for nine game and spent only 3 in the G-League, so he joins the NBA list for this month. Clowney played limited minutes in March, but his performance last night was his career best, pouring in 22 with 10 boards and showed why he has a very bright future.

Keon Ellis: 7.5 PPG/ 3.5 REB/ 2.0 AST/ 65.9 TS% in 25.8 MPG

Rundown: Injuries to Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk have led to a larger role for Ellis this month. He delivered with a white hot 44% from behind the arc, including a career high 19 point game against Orlando. Ellis should see plenty of minutes and will need to be successful for the Kings, as they’re only half a game from avoiding the play-in tournament.

Herb Jones: 10.0 PPG/ 3.1 REB/ 3.1 AST/ 63.2 TS% in 32.2 MPG

Rundown: Herb continues to shoot the ball well and had another solid month for the Pelicans, who currently sit 4th in the West. His defense continues to be fantastic including a 4 steal, 3 block effort against Milwaukee and is getting a 1st team all-defense push by the team.

Kira Lewis: 3.8 PPG/ 1.2 REB/ 1.5 AST/ 25.0 TS% in 8.4 MPG

Rundown: Kira spent the month either logging few minutes or DNPs for the Jazz, but has not been sent back down to the G-League. Kira will turn 23 in two days and will look to earn some minutes down the stretch before the Jazz head into the offseason.

Brandon Miller: 18.6 PPG/ 5.3 REB/ 2.6 AST/ 53.4 TS% in 33.5 MPG

Rundown: Miller has collected his third straight Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month. His head coach Steve Clifford was recently canned, so it will be interesting to see what Miller’s role is when a new coach is hired in the offseason, but he has continues to drop in great performances including another 30 point game against Cleveland.

Collin Sexton: 22.5 PPG/ 3.0 REB/ 6.0 AST/ 61.6 TS% in 33.7 MPG

Rundown: I think it’s fair to say that Collin Sexton is all the way back! His TS% has sat around 62% for the last four months while his USG% and MPG have increased steadily. He’s currently 17th in the league in Offensive Win Shares and is just above guys like Steph and PG13 in TS% so far this season. What was most impressive about this last month was his consistency, as he had 12 games of at least 20 points and all 15 games he scored at least 17, including a double-double against Minnesota.

G-League:

JD Davison: 20.3 PPG/ 4.1 REB/ 8.0 AST/ 45% FG in 33.7 MPG

Rundown: Davison spent four games in the NBA last month and seven in the G-League. Davison, a lot like Sexton, has been very consistent in his game and numbers throughout the year, and should finish the year top 10 in assists per game and top 20 in scoring.

Joshua Primo: 15.9 PPG/ 4.3 REB/ 3.7 AST/ 45.4 FG%

Rundown: Primo had a better shooting month than February, shooting 39% from 3 in nine games. He was on the Clippers NBA roster for a couple games, but did not play in any of those games.

Alex Reese: 13.1 PPG/ 5.1 REB/ 1.2 AST/ 43.2 FG% in 20.2 MPG

Rundown: Alex Reese’s role hasn’t really changed much this year. He’s of the first guys off the bench, spaces the floor with his great 3-point shooting, and grabs a few boards for the Remix.

Jaden Shackelford: 10.8 PPG/ 3.2 AST/ 1.8 REB/ 32.4 FG% in 26.9 MPG

Rundown: Shack continues to showcase some of the streakiness we saw in his time at Bama. He followed up a great month of shooting in February with an abysmal performance from the floor and behind the 3 point line in March, shooting just 30% from behind the arc.
