What did Euler find in the toilet? by andrerav in antimeme

In engineering and on calculators. In "higher" mathematics, "log" usually implies base e by default.

Do you think it's pronounced the same as "Jackson?" That spelling makes me want to say JACKS-on instead of JACK-sin

Agreed. They were not playing with the intensity of the last few runs. Hopefully a nice long break will help for next year's run.

I agree. I think coaches that get their players to go all out every game tend to flame out or underperform postseason.

He's now by far the longest tenured coach in the NHL and i hope he stays here until he retires. The only thing i think he's mediocre at is keeping the team motivated to win every game. But maybe that's the key to his (and the team's) longevity.

I was debating with myself after game 4 if i had to choose between losing in round 1 or 2, which one I'd pick. I REALLLLY didn't want to lose to the leafs, and a comeback would have been amazing... But in retrospect, if we weren't going to win the cup this year, or at least make the finals to keep the streak alive, then our boys deserve a nice long break.

I just hope they're nice and rested for a dominant season and cup run next season. We have one of the best captains and cores (and even former players) in nhl history l and i feel so lucky to be a fan of this team. I don't think I'll experience anything like this in my sports fandom again in my lifetime. Even if it's over (i sure hope not, and i don't think so), it's been an amazing ride.

I think the main reason we hate Boston is their team's dirtiness over the years. Especially the rat. He is especially infuriating because he intentionally does dirty things to injure players while trying to be as sneaky as possible about it. Boston fans aren't the worst out there.

LSU motto - Fund Football, Not Libraries by CrunchM in WhitePeopleTwitter

That's true, but probably more than half of division 1 football programs are profitable. Football and basketball funds the unprofitable sports like gymnastics, swimming, etc... at a lot of schools.

It's a Hollywood cliche.

Bettman: "EXACTLY! Who better to know all the goons' tricks of the trade?"

I almost feel like that shouldn't be considered canon for how cartoonishly implausible it is. Or maybe Dwight just thought he'd mess with the documentary crew for some reason.

I'm think the reason he changed was he started seeing a psychiatrist and taking prozac or something. There was that episode where nelly encouraged him to that and he was shown thinking about it

Well mullen is one of the best offensive play callers in all of cfb, so that's not saying much. It's all the other stuff he was average at.

This was far from our best effort imo, but vasy is finally playing like the best GK in the world again.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Watch the slowed down replay. That wasn't in the numbers. He made initial contact at the shoulder. Maybe he hit the edge of one of the numbers.

I'd like to think i wouldn't be so biased as to call that dirty and ask for a major if that was against us. That was barely a penalty and maybe should have been embellishment on toronto.
