Putting aside the ridiculous assumption that teams would be okay devoting precious time to building a bunch of 35-year-old bodies and chassis, getting them up to current safety spec, and re-learning all the old technology in them, there is absolutely zero chance that Toyota would be okay with their teams running any manufacturer other than a Toyota.

There really wasn't much to the gimmick. I can't really think of one thing that was better served by seeing it out of order.

Besides, they still always showed the last few episodes in order, with one six months later being shown before the episode showing the heist. We learned nothing of value by seeing the aftermath of the heist before actually seeing it.

No, this is not true, at least from the research I've attempted to do on this story over the years. I've talked to people who were well-connected in the industry at the time, both on the racing side and on the merchandising/marketing side, and nobody has ever heard of this outside of this story. Jayski would have been all over this in late 2003/early 04.

It's nothing but a semi-well-done custom fantasy diecast that some fan made. If it were real, they wouldn't still have the cutouts on the top and bottom of the number that still fit the 29.

Yep. I started to sour on Larson before his suspension, but I will definitely be pulling for him at Indy next year, and if he won, by all means, wait to start the race for him. That's nothing but good publicity for NASCAR.

Most companies that have different brands operate them with different marketing budgets as well. That's why Penske's Miller sponsorship, for example, changes only from year to year and not from race to race. Rusty had sponsorship from the Miller Genuine Draft brand in the early 90s, then he, Kurt, and Brad had Miller Lite, and then Brad and now Austin Cindric have Keystone Light.

I'd love nothing more than to see Budweiser back on the car for his final race, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I put it on the Camaro because I figured Chevy would be far enough away from Honda's rival in Toyota, and I liked the way the red stripe blends into the "mouth" at the nose where the headlights and grill are.

Though with the rumors that Ford might want a piece of the Red Bull pie, I might need to put it on a Mustang.

I had heard his radio singles before that, but the first time I ever sought out something by him was his Free Fallin' cover that I heard at the grocery store where I worked. I mentioned it to the girl I was dating at the time, not knowing who it was, but she was a fan, and she bought me WTLI for my birthday.

I honestly figured I would rip Free Fallin' to my iPod and that would be it, but she asked if we could put the CD on when we were driving home from dinner that night, and the first track I heard was, of course, Neon.

I was sold immediately.

Yeah, I really doubt we'll get an announcement about Ezra not coming back before The Flash is released. They're still likely going to promote the film heavily, and they'd be shooting themselves in the foot by releasing a big budget superhero movie immediately after announcing the star isn't moving forward with the franchise.
