Same dude. I actually hit the cave first and cleared it out, then talked to the bird, when he wouldn't take my damn mushrooms it was clear I missed something. Very surprising that you can just ascend right through a tower. Suoer cool and unexpected the things you can ascend through.

I was stuck in the dumbest fuckong ways in a shrine. ran all over the goddamn place lookong for something I HAD to miss… nope, just had to use ascend. The shrine was "courage to fall" btw. The lasers stumped me for a while too.

IDK if you have been up to Hyrule Castle yet, (I went pretty early because I wanted to scavenge some better equipment) but holy shit the music. It's not at all heroic and epic like BoTW... it's... so eerie, and foreboding. Absolutely masterful.
