Recruiting crypto moderators and wiki editors on Reddit.
r/CryptoRecruiting
Been thinking about applying for a while now, but thought I'd throw my hat in the ring more officially for whenever the team thinks about expanding
1. How much account age and comment karma do you have?
My account is ~5 years old and I have ~46,000 karma.
2. What are your credentials? Do you have any skills with AutoModerator rules, CSS, or programming bots? Can you reference external profiles or mod positions on other subs?
I don't have any direct moderation experience, and my biggest contribution to the community for sure has been ccmoons.com. From that I've learned CSS and other web development skills and worked quite a bit with the reddit api. I'm experienced in python and have programmed a few relatively simple bots using the PRAW library in the past.
3. Do you moderate a large number of subreddits? If so, will this be a burden to your mod duties?
No
4. What project in the crypto space are you a fan of or invested in?
I generally stick to established projects (Large majority in eth/btc, smaller amounts in larger alts like xmr and algo) mostly because I have a much better understanding of their use-case / how they work and don't have the risk appetite for small cap projects.
5. What is your timezone? How active do you intend to be?
My account age is nine months and I have a total of 46,759 karma, almost all of which is from r/Cryptocurrency.
My other account is 8+ years old though.
I became the moderator of a little known subreddit called r/LazyMoons four or five days ago and everyone thinks I am doing an amazing job.
I believe my record speaks for itself. I have probably done more for the r/Cryptocurrency community in my short time here than anyone, except for Damnusernamegotcutof, Fiatminer, Cryptardo, the entire current roster of moderators (excluding IHaventEvenGotADog), and numerous other users who have done more for the community than I have.
Tokyo Time, but I work and sleep at odd times, so I believe my actual schedule may me more similar to someone in India Standard Time. I'm not in India though, I want to make that very clear.
