What are those rubber pads are u using for your hack squat? I need something like these to get better depth on mine

[–]mathers2111[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

2x2 cutouts of 3/4” thick stall mats. I have like 10 of those and also a bunch of 2x1 cutouts for the belt squat machine. Stall mats are literally the most versatile equipment lol.

nice pendulum squat. I debated between this and the leg press and picked up the leg press because of the independent leg feature and rehabbing my knee. If I every figure out how to make more space this will be on my list of things to get. Nice gym!

[–]mathers2111[S] [score hidden]  (2 children)

IMO the leg press has a better resistance profile anyway, the pendulum was just the last tool I had to add to my quad training arsenal!

[–]ActivityRegular6179 [score hidden]  (1 child)

I finally tried a pendulum squat at a friends gym. It was humbling.

I love leg machines that remove the back as a limiting factor

[–]NotJackMinnell4 [score hidden]  (1 child)

which model is the pendelum and how much did it run ya all in

[–]mathers2111[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

French fitness, $1499usd from their website and I found some discount codes. Shipping to Canada is more expensive than within US though

How are you liking the pendulum squat? It’s one of the only ones that I’ve seen without the counter balance, but also one of the best priced that I can find.

[–]mathers2111[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I wanted one without counter balance. Its more compact and its not too light at the bottom, the lever arm on this also doesn’t get too vertical at the bottom. It has an adjustable footplate which I feel is a must have even though a lot of high end units have fixed ones.

Sick setup. That’s awesome😂

What is the bar in the 7th photo with the multiple grips? It's black and chrome

[–]mathers2111[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Knockoff kabuki kadillac bar

[–]dragnandy 0 points1 point  (1 child)

where did you get it? link?

[–]mathers2111[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got mine from a local reseller (back of trailer lol) but its this one:

[–]MonstersBeThere 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thank you! That thing looks useful

[–]mathers2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a great bar, i use it for presses and rows

[–]emt139[🍰] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Do the sliders work for heavy equipment too?

[–]mathers2111[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I didnt try it with any equipment with weight stacks. I used it for the rack with the lat tower and the belt squat machine and they both moved super easily!

[–]punchable89 [score hidden]  (1 child)

Did you rearrange anything with a weight stack or just leave it? I want to switch things up, but can figure out how the hell I’m going to move my functional trainer without disassembling, which I don’t want to do.

[–]mathers2111[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I didnt move anything with a stack, the Kaizen DIY guy did it though. Looks like if you can get the sliders underneath you should be able to push it around.

Amazing. Thanks for the response. I will try with my rack.

[–]criticizedhound 1 point2 points  (8 children)

Do you have a link to that leg Ext / hami machine?

[–]mathers2111[S] 2 points3 points  (7 children)

[–]criticizedhound 0 points1 point  (6 children)

It looks awesome! Are you happy with it?

[–]mathers2111[S] 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I wouldve preferred their newer version where the cam is not just a circle. With certain cam shapes you can get better resistance profile. There were also some manufacturing tolerance issues with my specific unit which I was able to fix myself

[–]criticizedhound 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I feel you, I bought the REP FT 3000 and a month or so later they launched a new version. Fml.

Thanks for the share. I'm in Canada and this is my next purchase

[–]mathers2111[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Damn there are actual Canadians who buy from Rep Canada?! Their shipping is insane lol.

I think for a unit with weight stack and dual function, the befitnow one is probably the cheapest and highest quality you can get in Canada. The assembly for my model was a PAIN though.

[–]criticizedhound 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yea. The FT3000 was $600 for shipping. But I went to the bells of steel showroom and tried their FT and it wasnt close to REPs quality. Found it very flimsy and moved a lot. REPs is very sturdy.

Between REP and rougue, I've probably bought a second gym in shipping costs.

[–]punchable89 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Can confirm. I have the Bells FT and it does the trick, but nothing special. Thankfully I got on sale. Going to be a fun conversation in a couple years with my wife when I want to upgrade.

[–]mathers2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the BoS one seems meh especially with only 160lb stacks. When I got mine from treadmillfactory there weren’t a whole lot of other options, there seems to be quite a few brands in Canada with 200lb+ stacks nowadays

[–]morbidddcorpse 2 points3 points  (1 child)

My man only does leg day! I recently moved a fully assembled Rogue Rhino and Titan Lat Tower v2 to new locations with the same furniture sliders. It didn't work as well as I had hoped, but with a little elbow grease and patience, it worked better than disassembling and moving. Nice gym.

[–]mathers2111[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the 8-pack sliders I was able to make sure the piece of equipment is fully off the floor, I slid the rack with the lat tower and the belt squat machine very easily!

[–]rorschacher 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Who makes that pendulum squat. Great set up, BTW

[–]mathers2111[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

French fitness

[–]rorschacher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

[–]atrophene 0 points1 point  (1 child)

how tall are you?

[–]mathers2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6’1

[–]Emergency-Anteater-7 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Damn man Pendulum squats are awesome. They are definitely the dream piece that I know i will never have the space/money for.

[–]mathers2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in the US there are some budget options under 1k

[–]badfortheenvironment 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Looks good! Which pendulum squat is that?

[–]mathers2111[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

French fitness, one of the cheaper options yet close to commercial quality being in Canada

[–]Orion_23 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Nice set up. What chest supported row is that?

[–]mathers2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body solid pro line leverage row, picked it up used locally

[–]38sms 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Leg day looks brutal there. Awesome setup. I like that selectorized leg extension

[–]ReptarKanklejew 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Is it a pain to load the weight? Looks like the horn is right up next to the wall.

[–]mathers2111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not bad, with the pendulum squat I don’t need much weight anyway. Having super thin calibrated plates certainly helps lol.
