I'd say from watching one of Willy's casing vids what I will do when I try this is to soak the cheesecloth in 8-9 ph'd distilled water using garden lime then lightly squeeze still keeping it moist and sterilize in a jar- the Willy casing video he used 50/50 peat and verm brought to field capacity using garden lime water ph of 8-9 helps to fight off contams - then once fully colonized over the cheesecloth add the casing layer
