Throwback to rescuing Batman, who was left behind by his mom Taco, my feral friend! He’s a healthy and happy catteen today! by mekdigital in aww

Taco was the most beautiful mix Siamese feral cat I’d ever seen. She came to our backyard when she was probably three months old and established residency.

She Never allowed touching, but she was a regular and on occasion she even ventured into the house and once fell asleep under my desk.

When I suspected she could be pregnant, I put a big cardboard box in the corner of the yard with a few old blankets inside, food and drinks as usual, and before you know, you could hear those little thing squeak the morning after.

My excitement for the event must have scared her and after a day or two, she started relocating on her babies to a secret new spot, but she didn’t come back for the last one.

She keep coming back for food, mek the last child, and never wanted anything to do with it. So I have.

So I took matters into my own hands, went to the veterinary and confirmed the cat was healthy.

The next two weeks were very very intense and demanding, with a continuous loop of feeding and bathroom needs, but we made it and he was adopted by a lovely family!

Oh, this is awesome!

On the contrary, that day I learnt that my approach to software was incomplete and I needed to level up my fundamentals and communication skills!

Story time!

I interviewed with Mark for an engineering position at Clymb in ‘13 (circa)

He was polite, clear and patient- but he was sharp and exigent as you can expect from reading his interactions on GitHub.

Regretfully, my interview was bad and took a turn for the worse during a whiteboard exercise on recursion.

His long stretches of silence, my cold sweaty palms, the embarrassment of failure and the feeling of wasting someone else’s time…

I really hope he forgot about me on the same day! 😅

Poor man, he’s doing something complex, expensive and out of his comfort zone. The support of the people in the room is the real tragedy

I remember paying 1300 and 1700 for a large two bedroom with front, side and back yard a few blocks from the beach. It was only 10 years ago! Now I feel blessed we found something for 4390😖
