Used his position of power and authority to take advantage of women who worked for him.

Your link does not support this statement, as no actress has publicly accused Whedon of taking advantage of them. The only thing he has been accused of is a toxic work environment due to his yelling and vindictive behavior. It's not just women who said that about him, as James Marsters and Ray Fisher did so as well.

She got pregnant, he absolutely murdered Cordelia.

Cordelia was intended to be the main villain for season four. Her pregnancy prevented that from being possible, so they had to shelve her character and rewrite the season at the last minute.

This kind of transgressive boundary pushing from that era is why the reality of joss is so fuckin heart breaking.

In what way is it heart breaking? Joss Whedon, like many directors, is a vindictive jerk. He didn't physically assault anyone, he didn't sexually assault anyone, and he didn't sexually harass anyone. I find it weird that he keeps getting lumped in with genuine creeps when the only thing he's been accused of is being mean.

Kendrick is absolutely not a hotep. That is some bullshit that gets slapped on every rapper who addresses social issues, but there is literally no evidence aside from two lines in YAH to support that accusation.

The truth about the Pop Out is that there simply aren't many female artists affiliated with TDE. By far the biggest one, SZA, was invited to perform but chose to be in the audience.

🇯🇵There is a debate in Japan about whether high school baseball games should be changed from nine innings to seven innings. High school baseball is popular in Japan, but critics say it places a heavy burden on players because it is held in the summer.

jdbolick

Tradition is a form of inertia that is challenging to overcome, but I support a seven inning limit for that age group. Two innings doesn't seem like much, but I remember how difficult it was going from seven in high school to nine in American Legion.

Then you need to be better educated because Islamic terrorists kill more Muslims than they do any other religious group. They want everyone to follow their rules and live under their control.

You probably didn't know that Palestinians assassinated the King of Jordan in 1951. They tried to do so again in 1970 as part of their attempt to overthrow and seize the country during Black September. Five years after that failed, Palestinians started the Lebanese Civil War where they tried to take over that country. Palestinians were later given refuge in Kuwait, but they sided with Saddam when he invaded in 1990 because they wanted to take over that country.

And during all this time, Palestinians had been causing problems in Egypt for decades as part of the Muslim Brotherhood, assassinating multiple Egyptian leaders.

No one in the Middle East wants anything to do with Palestinians because of their extensive history of violence, it isn't just Israel.

You seem to be implying that terrorism and terrorist groups come from oppression, but that is not accurate because there is a very important difference between terrorism and armed resistance. Armed resistance tries to protect their group, whereas terrorism is devoted to attacking others. Terrorism and terrorist groups come from the desire to eradicate a group of people.

Not sure how to feel about LHP Trevor Rogers? Here's a brief player profile.

No. Predictive metrics estimate how a player will do in the future. FIP measures how a pitcher performed based on the things they actually control (walks, strikeouts, contact rate, etc.).

[Ken Rosenthal] Orioles acquiring LHP Trevor Rogers from the Marlins, source tells @TheAthletic

Suarez has a 3.69 FIP for the season, substantially better than the 4.42 for Rogers. Even if you just look at the last two months, they both have roughly the same ~4.4 FIP.

FB is a pitch you can mix up speeds how you want. You can purposely throw it a couple mph slower if you want. Whether or not he is doing that you and I have no idea.

I have told you three times now that pitchers in the low 90s do not voluntarily take even more off of their fastball. That doesn't happen. You keep pretending otherwise because you want the Rogers trade to look better, but you're not living in reality.

Crochet is a huge question mark, as this is the first time since high school that he started more than six games in a season, and his slider is so bad that Katz told him to stop throwing it. Meanwhile, Robert is frequently injured.

Both of them have a lot of talent, but are nowhere close to Skubal in terms of confidence that they would make an impact this October.

fWAR is not predictive, it tells you how the pitcher performed if you take away the quality of the defense behind them and whatever luck they had on balls in play.

Also, your pronouncement that Rogers has just been luckier than Suarez and Kremer is not fact but opinion. The fact is, his numbers are better over that span.

You have this backwards. Rogers being luckier is a fact, not an opinion. That's what the FIP scores show, that Rogers has been extremely lucky on balls in play over the last two months.

I have no reason to jump to Rogers’ defense or anything but I feel the need to point out when someone states opinions as facts.

Maybe before you jump in the next time, you should educate yourself about what FIP is and what it means.

Nevertheless, a left hander that’s at least as good as Kremer or Suarez is a net positive for the rotation and we did not lose players we were likely to get much value for production wise. The market being what it was, we got what we could get without selling the farm

Rogers is not an improvement and does not affect our playoff chances at all. He's a fifth starter, which isn't used in the playoffs, and he doesn't throw hard enough to be effective out of the bullpen. He's depth for the rotation in 2025 and 2026. Stowers and Norby should have been traded for something that helps 2024. Fedde is better and went for less, or they could have targeted a reliever.

He cannot change the fact that akpom can’t be a target upfront or that Forbes is sloppy with the final pass.

I'm talking about structure. Just like the defense looked more organized this preseason, the offense looked less organized. There were hardly any chances created, which isn't surprising because Farioli has a reputation for being a very conservative, defensive manager.

And be honest what have Vos or tahirovic shown that would warrant a longer stay at Ajax.

Vos looked like one of our most energetic and assertive midfielders before he was injured last season. I was optimistic about what he might contribute, even if brought off the bench to provide a spark in the midfield.

We need to sell and this is a way to force the issue.

We don't need to sell, as neither of them will bring much at this stage. Ajax needs to be developing talents. That's what we used to be known for.

About Ramaj he explained that he is looking for coaching and experience in this part of the campaign with everybody on defense talking in a different tongue he needs a leader there so while I would rather have Ramaj I do understand his choices. As does the entire ajax staff en technical management.

That's not true. It was reported that Kroes and the others were surprised by Farioli choosing Pasveer and could not understand it. No one can understand it because it is nonsensical.

When starters become relievers their fastball velocity almost always goes up. It's because they know for 1 inning they can throw 100% and to get into the 5th or 6th inning that is not possible.

It's because they don't have as much muscle fatigue. Throwing 100 pitches is far more taxing on the arm than throwing 20. And again, Rogers was a starting pitcher back when he was averaging 94.6 mph. He's under 92 now because he has lost velocity, not because he's throwing with less effort.

His change up is close to his FB bc he isn't throwing his FB at 100%.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Every starting pitcher wants more differentiation between their fastball and changeup in order to make the latter more difficult to hit. No one would deliberately lower their fastball velocity to make it closer to their changeup.

Please stop arguing this. You're embarrassing yourself and completely wasting my time.
