I would say if you plan on giving them a scroll let them know that it's temporary because if I was really pining for a spell for a character and was given a scroll I may hold onto that scroll for half the campaign before I used it.

There is something about object interaction as well where as a free action you can take out a weapon but that's only one per turn (duel wielder changes that I believe) so after a turn you'll be down to one weapon.
