"I think the problem Digg had is that it was a company that was built to be a company, and you could feel it in the product. The way you could criticize Reddit is that we weren't a company – we were all heart and no head for a long time. So I think it'd be really hard for me and for the team to kill Reddit in that way." --Steve Huffman, CEO of Reddit, April 2023

Season 4: "Why are we following the villains?"

Yeah I was frustrated with this season as much as the OP and I checked the subreddit post watch to find the overwhelming majority opinion was that it was great.

The split screen bit in one of the episodes completely took me out for one thing.

We also see Dani pretty much immediately figure out the workers are not being treated well and she begins working to fix their issues. But that falls off by the wayside almost immediately after.

Not to mention I found it extremely difficult to accept the working conditions and quality of life would be so bad for the workers. NASA and the other countries equivalents and their governments would've been on top of it from day 1 to make sure such a large population of workers in a sensitive environment were going to be treated and paid well. I would've been able to ignore this if the other aspects of the season weren't also straining my disbelief.

I think it would've been a more sensible source of conflict if it was the little guys (scientists, explorers, martians) vs the cold economical benefit that moved the nations.

Really disliked Sam and Miles. Sam for the reasons OP stated and Miles because... he's a piece of shit? Lmao. It seemingly worked out but him fucking with the North Koreans could've been absolutely disastrous for example.

Season 4: "Why are we following the villains?"

I would've loved to see Ed and Dev convince Dani or her to come to that conclusion herself.

Let's be serious, Ed didn't do what he did because he cares about "For All Mankind". He did it for entirely selfish reasons. Dev as well.

Dani would've done the same thing because it is in line with the idea of "For All Mankind".

I would've liked to see them all come together for progress and science and space instead of what we got. Dani should've been with the "heroes". She got excluded from the 4 person team of Margot, Aleida, Ed, and Dev.
