I’m diagnosed ADHD and depression. I had to go through screening to make sure I didn’t have bipolar, because I was also having sleep issues. They wanted to make sure I wasn’t experiencing mania.

Many mental illnesses overlap symptoms. If you try to treat those yourself, you can cause major imbalances in your brain. SSRIs and bipolar can be incompatible. Mania can be induced by SSRIs. Mania is not something to fuck around with. ADHD medicine can affect other medicines depending on what you’re taking. Also. Self diagnosis of multiple mental illnesses can lead to taking multiple meds not prescribed to you, which can lead you to die by taking the wrong combo of pills.

No one said it was fine?? Just that some kids do this. They shouldn’t. You can’t say every tiny kid that does something like picking up a bird and throwing it is going to be a serial killer/murderer/whatever. Kids do stupid shit all the time without thinking. Some kids are complete, horrid assholes. If you’ve been around them, you know. That said, most of the time those horrid brats turn into normal, well adjusted adults that are ashamed of what they did as children.

God thank you. That was the point I was trying to make. He’s being a total little shit, but he isn’t serial killer material. A total lack of empathy and a need to act on their base desires is different than being an impulsive, inconsiderate child.
