I'm sure it depends but if they qualify you for 6% then you can definitely afford 1.99% haha, so I think it would be hard to argue from a lending perspective that you wouldn't qualify.

I asked if they could just transfer my 6% rate to the promotional 1.99% and they said no, I have to make a new purchase to get the promo rate but that they would refund the $250 fee for me.

It didn't really affect my place in line - still got the car in the same week that I was expecting to receive it.

They may refund you the $250. I had a 6% rate on a model y before changing to 1.99% and they refunded me.

Bc people don't understand interest rates or are very very risk averse.

This is not the case for me. Took delivery a few days ago and am being charged for my sessions.

I'm picking my model y up tomorrow and the final agreements to sign say something about a $2000+ finance charge and a down payment of $7700+ even though I agreed to $0 down. Does anyone know if this is a mistake or somehow incorporating the $7500 tax credit?
