I remember watching this guy once and thinking he was the next Vieira. He looked bloody awesome. Such a shame that injuries wrecked his career. Happy birthday!
French TV station Canal+ asked Pogba, 25, to name players in his central-midfield position he thinks have surpassed him.
The former Juventus hero said: “There is Iniesta, who is having an amazing career.
Then there are the [Toni] Kroos’, [Luka] Modric’s of this world, David Silva, De Bruyne, Yaya Toure, even Abou Diaby, who many forget about.
Diaby was literally first name for the France squad for years when fit. Wildly underrated player that would have been a once a generation midfielder had he not been injured.

remember watching him and was just blew away by how good he was, he was even more complete than Vieira was. A consistent, mature, decisive, hard-working Pogba is what he should've been.
a shame his career was filled with injuries. his masterclass at anfield is the first thing that comes to mind when I see his name!
