Nothin but good from twitter but yet you point out grummz. I just don’t know about that, the sub complains a lot about wuk lamat for sure but that’s because she is the focal point of the story so she gets a lot of criticism for a reason.

I think you’re just cherry picking here. You might have people who just hate the character in that sub, which is fine but let’s not jump to the extreme.

You’re just paying attention to twitter too much man, that place is a toxic environment for anything. Long as you don’t read opinions from there, you can find legitimate criticisms people have for the expansion.

Duviri being tied to drifter combat kills it for me, its just awful. Though I think that was more of a Steve design as it seemed like a starting ground for testing out Soul Frame ideas. The Circuit though I thought was a really neat idea.

Its not a ban by DE, but microsoft instead. DE has nothing to do with it.

This isn't related to warframe though? Have you read the email there? This is a xbox thing. When you get suspended you cannot interact with multiplayer most of the time. This has nothing to do with DE but more of Microsoft's enforcement. You can get whacked for just typing "wtf". They are pretty strict.

Even more so, if you haven't played warframe in weeks how did you somehow link it to warframe? The amount of people here who also haven't read this screenshot like OP is laughable.

You may still be able to play Warframe, I'm not sure how communication bans are. Some multiplayer games you can play, but you cannot interact with any form of party chat or text chat. But some MMO games like warframe might be cut off, I dunno.

When’s Xbox’s ‘Black Myth: Wukong’ Release Date? About That

Isn't that because it uses framegen? I've seen people say play on balanced or whatever instead. If its using framegen, that's likely the cause of input lag feeling.

Monster Hunter Wilds Is Reportedly Running At 30 FPS On PS5 & Xbox Series X|S

There's likely two reasons.

One being that to achieve 60 FPS it would have to look really, really bad. Most publishers aren't going to want something like that to be a thing because to them, it looks bad for marketing and etc.

The other being it just can't reach 60 FPS. We've seen that in other games like Dragon's Dogma 2 and Gotham Knights. Way too poor optimization and/or too much stuff thrown into the game that the console can't power through it.

Yah but you aren't going to optimize that well to jump from 30 FPS to 60. The texture pop in stuff yah, that will likely get ironed out. The final release might get some kind of performance mode that cuts the visual fidelity and all down to achieve 60 FPS. But the current Demo build isn't going to be optimized that much.

We've seen this countless times "Oh its a beta!" "Its just a demo!" before a game's release and everyone assumes magical optimization will happen, but it doesn't.

Monster Hunter Wilds Is Reportedly Running At 30 FPS On PS5 & Xbox Series X|S

SmurfinTurtle
replied to Aminar14

30FPS is the standard for big games any time more than like 2 years after a console releases.

That's not really true though? You can look at past console generations in comparison and see that for the most part the FPS has gotten higher over time. Same with this generation, while there are some that are 30. Alot can hit 60 (Or close) with the option of fidelity.

It's also kind of silly to complain about people who just want better performance. You should be wanting developers to focus more on smooth gameplay than "Oh look pretty particles". Bad performance means hitches, stutters, lag. No one wants that.

Yah, you don't just double the frame rate in that amount of time lmao.

In 5-6 months we'll see maybe stable 30, if it does dip. At best, 40 FPS with VRR or something.

I was hoping maybe the demo was forced graphic/quality mode instead of allowing performance.

Monster Hunter Wilds Gameplay Demonstration: Gamescom 2024

I believe its going to be the same way with Wilds, I think the eluded to it working that way. Why it's like that I dunno, its dumb but I don't find it to be too annoying as its just the story parts and thats it. Though if one only plays it to get through the story then put it down, then I can see it being almost not worth it.

What are the possible causes of the playerbase drop other than nerfs, bugs, and performance issues?

SmurfinTurtle
commented

your casual playerbase moves on fairly quick. Its a surprise that HD2 kept the playerbase it had for as long as it did. But there's a reason alot of games have low % of completion, your casual gamer just doesn't stick around for long. Or really plays that much.

You can see the same kind of stuff in various other games, Lethal company could be a example. Big media boom that draws in lots of people, they play it a bunch and then move on.

Survival games and MMOs are the only ones that's a bit different in all of that.

Its also pretty silly to have "Hints and tips" along with Builds on a wiki page. Wikis are suppose to be related to information, not personal opinions and anecdotal tips. They wanna be a all in one walkthrough, guide, wiki and etc.

I'm looking up info, dont clutter the page with a bad layout and videos taking up a large chunk of it.

Its pretty impossible to miss the embedded stream, so there is no way you haven't seen that. It's not there any more since they aren't allowed to any more. But it took a good chunk of the screen on each page since they use the same format on each of their wikis.

Hell you can still see the leftovers of the embedded stream placement with some janky looking chat? All these issues become more glaring when you look at other less popular games they have a wiki for. Alot of broken links, misinfo and etc.

Another one of these topics.

With power creep is also gets much harder to develop new weapons and systems because how do you make it compete with other things if it's not just absurdly busted.

Alot of adjustments that are made here are often done with incoming weapons. Like how the senator got a buff right as the Verdict was being added, which is a pistol that sits right between the senator and peacemaker.

Just because you can do deathless in a game doesn't make it a power fantasy game lmao. I don't think you know what power fantasy is, if this was one our characters wouldn't be so fragile. Our primary weapons would also be easily able to deal with heavy armored units in a power fantasy game.

It's not a power fantasy game.

SmurfinTurtle
replied to finny94

Yah, like Flamethrower being able to close bug holes. What's the point of having grenades or grenade launcher then? Alot of these buffs would make other weapons obsolete and then you end up with the same issue of certain weapons being weak because other weapons are too strong.

I tried explaining it to some one over there once, Power Creep is the worst thing that can happen to your game. It makes adding any new weapon difficult because after a time there's just no place for it unless its absurdly broken.

Helldivers 2: The message to the community from our game director

That's a really silly way of looking at things.

It's obvious the game is trying to hit a certain balance of difficulty much like their previous game. You can see it in how loadouts and weapons are. Flamethrower, great at dealing with crowds but not good at heavily armored enemies. Where as the Recoilless Rifle is poor at crowds but great for single target heavy units. Strategems and everything else follow that design path of having strengths and weaknesses. When a weapon doesn't have a weakness, then it kind of breaks that design structure down. It can make other weapons feel obsolete because it just out shines it.

Ultimately the problem is there's a big disconnect between how players think it should be and how the Devs have always designed it. It's not some typical power fantasy game, least not the usual kind.

The game's still fun, as much as people wanna say "They removed fun" or whatever. It's funner than it was before especially with so many stratagems getting buffs recently.
