The aura of a unit effects the unit, so Invo would get the rerolls as well as the Eightbound! :) 

This is the key, actually. Zerkers can feel bad on their own at 90/180 points. You really need the Zerkers/hero/rhino combo if you want to take them and that requires a 355 point investment. 

OK, so I'd say yes there's too many characters. I'd start by cutting the demon prince, as unfortunately while sick af, he's not quite worth his points at the moment (195). I also personally think the Zerkers/hero/rhino thing is expensive and would only do 1. So cutting the master of executions, 1 rhino, and one Zerker squad we save an additional 355 points(!!). So with 550 we look to fill gaps in the list to add depth and power. We first get two squads of jakhals (+130) who have sticky objectives, can help adjust Blessings rolls when on a point, and can win a lot of skirmisher trades. Then we increase the squad of regular Eightbound from x3 to x6(+140). Gives them a lot more punch and now they can't easily be ignored or screened having the extra attacks. Next we add two units of Chaos Spawn (+130) which are currently very good for their points, are difficult to kill requiring commitment or they'll heal, and can do actions and move through walls giving us extra depth and bodies for scoring. Lastly, we add a Maulerfiend (+140) which adds another heavy hitter which can add 2" to charges as well as add +1 to hit rolls on units below starting strength. Also, I keep the Lord on a Juggernaut for being fast, tanky, having it's own tank shock, and also being able to use grenades strat. List here:

GW run events will be a no go

I see this advice a lot, but there's like 0 GW events in my area. Do yall get them often? I'm in California and everything is done by LGSs or FLG. 

That's an extra 3k in work that were expected to be out. We take those! 😎

I personally think the Zerkers/hero/rhino thing is expensive and would only do 1, but that's just me. So cutting those, we have 355 points (using MoE) and then I'd cut the 3x Exalted Eightbound and upgrade your 3x Eightbound to 6x. That saves us another 15 points to get us to 370. From here, I'd add a Lord on a Juggernaut (100), two chaos spawn (2x65), and Maulerfiend with the last 140. This feels like its got more heft with the maulerfiend, you get chaos spawn which honestly feel staple right now for how good they are, and then a Lord who's just good and can run around on their own, win most trades with skirmishers, has a built in tank shock, AND can use grenades!!
