I have a webcam, but also a Xbox one kinect. Has anyone ever done this? Or is this possible at all?
So i was planning og buying a xbox 360S and a kinect so i could play kinect sports 1&2 but when i was looking at them i saw 2. 1 said with PCU and the other said Without PCU and i just need to know which to get, thanks.
I recently got a Kinect for windows v1, I thought it would work on my old Xbox 360, but the Xbox just blurts out "this adapter isn't compatible" or something along those lines, is there a way to make it work on my 360?(I had a kinect but ny brother loaned it or something and now it's lost).
Side question, is there any usefulness on using it on windows 11? Like using it as a controller or something?
Years ago I bought the digital version of Just Dance 2016 for our original Xbox One. I just got the adapter cord to connect the Kinect to our Xbox One X and reinstalled the game. It will not boot up on the console so I went to hunt for a newer Just Dance game, but it doesn’t appear any of them are available to buy on the storefront, save the latest 2023/24 versions.
Can I hook my Kinect up to Xbox Series X/S?
Is there a workaround to get 2016 running?
Does Ubisoft discontinue or make non-usable older versions as new ones come out?
Any help is appreciated.
so i got a xbox one kenect from gamestop and an adapter from amazon and when i pluged it into my pc it said it was conected on the sdk browser but none of the lights turned on and the camrra was not working and i could not find out the problem
ok so I finally wired up my kinect and it works, but keeps rapidly connect and disconnect, two of the red wirers copper bits werent perfectly soldered down and may have gone over and touched the bit on the right to node 10 looking at it from behind, but I don't really know, any help would be greatly appreciated
I have the kinet security camera and hate the app it comes with. Can anybody recommended an app that works with this camera
I wanna use it as my webcam haha! thanks!
I keep seeing that Its a problem with unsupported usb chipset, but i have the correct one from what i see people say. On the kinect software it says "Supported USB 3.0 port detected with unknown bandwidth. Kinect may or may not be compatible with your hardware." Ive seen that I can buy a renesas pcie card, if so would work?
I want to be able to play games using body movements with a kinetic, specifically FromSoftware games. Is there any way to use the Xbox 360 Kinect or the Xbox One Kinect to do this? I have no idea where to start.
My kinect always disconnects itself when I try to use it. And it doesn't display anything.
It's recognized normally by my computer and only disconnects and reconnects whenever an application tries to use it.
As soon as I use an application or function that uses the kinect's camera or sensor, the red lights and the xbox logo light up, but it simply doesn't display anything and after 5/6 seconds it disconnects and reconnects.
I can use its microphone normally without any problems, but when I try to use the camera or sensor that always happens.
Microphone privacy settings are allowing applications to use the microphone.
Kinect microphone is activated in the device manager and in the sound tab.
I've tried updating the drivers,
letting windows update the drivers,
I've installed windows 10 on another partition and it still has the same problem.
I've tried using the most up-to-date runtime along with sdk 2.0.
I disconnected all the microphones.
I've disconnected all the other things plugged into the usb.
I tried plugging the kinect into a different usb 3.0 port.
My setup:
Windows 11
Motherboard: H410M DS2V Gigabyte
RAM: 16gb
Graphics card: RTX 3050
EDIT: I'm using Kinect on another computer now, and it is working perfectly. My motherboard was probably the problem, but I can't say exactly what was preventing the Kinect from working with it.
Hello Internet, I'm been trying to fix this Kinect issue since the beginning of this year, searching most of the forums but turn out no luck.
I'm using Kinect v2 for developing purposes in Unity. The Kinect worked completely fine previously, but all of a sudden, it started to disconnect after being connected for a few seconds. The Kinect was working fine on other PCs, something weird is that this issue happened in two Acer Predator laptops. My guess is Acer has something updated in their firmware or system, causing this issue to happen.
The Kinect was like, having normal lights when connecting, then losing all of the lights when it disconnected. The whole cycle is about 10 seconds connecting, then after 10 seconds it will disconnecting. Its a roughly 20 seconds loop after connected to PC and powered.
When using the Configuration Verifier, there are these errors as in the screenshot. The "Verify Kinect Depth and Color Streams will be green and red repeatedly, my guess it was causing by the disconnecting issue.
Also, when plugged in the Kinect through USB port, the laptop would disable Window Audio Service, causing no audio can be played.
What I have tried:
Enable and Disable Microphone Access.
I tried but failed to disable Kinect's Microphone in Sound setting > Recording, because it will disable my audio device instantly after I open the Recording tab, making all of the devices disappear from the list.
Reinstall the Kinect's drivers from
Using other Kinects and adapters.
Update Windows updates.
Try using it on PCs, the same Kinect works.
Restarting both PC and Kinect.
Updating drivers in Device Manager.
Adding the system registry value.
But none of them works. =(
Appreciate it if anyone who encountered this or similar problems before could help. Thank you!!
I've been using the kinect v2 as a webcam on my pc, and it flips my output backwards (text is backwards) and i was hoping there was a way to swap it so discord and regular photos show up correctly. Id prefer not to open up OBS to swap it everytime, possibly a reg-edit or a setting within windows would be best.
Thanks so much!
