Idea: Can we request, as the most direct registered stock, that Computershare update their system so that plan creation sets up new account instead of duplicating an existing account?

Just a thought here:

If the problem is that the duplication of account numbers when creating a plan allow the DTCC wiggle room to claim all shares with that account number as potential locates... Then this feels like it could be fixed with a very small edit to the code.

As someone who has done software implementations projects for large and complex organizations, this should be a very simple solution to instead assign a new account number when creating a purchasing plan. After a couple months of clean up by existing apes, this situation would then resolve itself.

Does anyone on the sub have a good contact/connection at Computershare with whom this request could be discussed? They have been very responsive to our requests previously, and this may be no different. Just a thought.

That's not HOW Computershare gets paid.

Remember, CS buys go through a broker to a lit exchange, and don't incur PFOF. Those are transactional convenience fees, which they are passing through to the broker.

Computershare is not designed or directed to householders. It is paid by Corporations. We are 100% ancillary to their mission.

THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK ON THE MODS, who have an extremely difficult job, and if we want this survey to stay up, we should all maintain our civility in this discussion.

I personally believe that the mods have become too involved and too heavy handed in managing the content of the sub, and too many posts or comments are being removed. This is not specifically related to the conversations specifically revolving around the current debates, this has been the case for a long time now, and simply seems to be intensifying.

I could be in the minority - but I'd like to see for myself how the rest of the community feels about the degree of involvement our mods have in the content of the sub on a daily basis. Mods, I don't know how this community is supposed to express what it needs from our moderators without this sort of transparent conversation, so PLEASE do not remove this post.

Censorship causes doubt. In an effort to suppress what the mods deem as misinformation, all they are doing is sowing doubt about their intentions. At one point in time, all info was welcomed. The true dd came in the comments. I’m guessing the redacted wave was truly meant to prevent newer users from recognizing our known and respected researchers. Crowd sourcing research was our strength. Mods tipping the scales by suppressing posts weakens our strength. If a dumbass idea is presented, someone will fight it with facts. If a bad idea is removed, how does anyone who didn’t see it learn from the crowd sourced research that would have disproved it? Censorship only aids the darkness. The darkness aids shf. Stop the censoring and gate keeping. Our crowd sourced research is the light
