I do envy those who bought 2018-2021, but don’t hate them, at all. I do though hate the Fed, Blackrock, and much of the US Governement.

I’m not sure, I feel like the last ~10 years society pushes everything but kids, family, and the so called American Dream. You do you, but I imagine things would be better if that was a societal priority.

I’d forget the stocks and crypto and just invest in broad indices/ETFs. 5000 is a good start and, unless the cash is needed for a large purchase or your emergency fund, would invest the rest slowly over time into the same ETF(s) you decide on, and keep doing that for the rest of your income earning life. If the emotional toll of ups and downs is too much to handle, make 2 rules for yourself: 1) only invest money that you can survive without and 2) never check your portfolio. I am struggling with my AMD shares. I’m up about 175% and part of me wants to sell and use the cash to DCA into broader indices/etfs over time. The other part of me is the one that bought NVDA at its 2022 low and sold after May 2023 earnings, and is still kicking myself over the gains I’ve lost out on.
