I doubt there is any way to determine what was or wasn't extracted from your network. Norton also doesn't have the best reputation for this kind of thing. It may be alarming you about nonsense.

You need to contact a professional who can look at your devices physically and advise.

Until then, I'd advise no more banking or email on the compromised computer.

At the very minimum, you need to sanitise all of your passwords. Establish a Bit warden account and go through each account one by one and change the password to something unique, 16+ characters plus. Start with the most important accounts to least important.

If you don't want to consult a professional over this, the next best advice I can give is blitz the windows install on affected computers. Format and reinstall windows.

Find out what system/brand that was installed by the company. You need to find where that signal that was connected to your phone is coming from.

It is possible that the Bluetooth settings on your phone is set to accept connections when asked. You can disable these settings though, which I recommend you do.

Making progress yes. I have a 25mW UHF beacon that broadcasts tones on CB channels for now. I'm getting great performance out of it. But I think I'm going to need to get the power up to 170-200mW for it to be properly useful.

LoRa looks great for peer to peer acknowledgement but I needed something I could use to cut through all the typical noise and be received by basic off the shelf equipment.

I can't see how a tracker designed for fleet management would be interfering with your home network. You should consider the two events coincidental until you find out exactly what it is that is triggering your network security system.

• What is your network security system and is it a hardware device or software running on your computer? What is it called?

• Wunderfind (at least from what I have read) only detects Bluetooth signals and estimates distance based on signal strength with a name/address of device. It is capable of communicating with devices to play a tone/beep, but only if they have been paired with your device before hand.

It is definitely possible that the device in your husband's car is emitting a Bluetooth signal from the tracker which is used by the business for programming the device and in a lot of cases, communicating with base stations at work. Wunderfind will pick this signal up, but it is not connecting to your phone to send or receive information.

I'll need more information about the network security software you have to do more. I can tell you that other than a Bluetooth signal, a fleet management system has a SIM card for communicating with home base on the road and possibly WiFi capability. These features have one goal; To help determine the position of the vehicle and collect vehicle specific telemetry (speed/distance/driving style). They are not designed to spy on anyone.

At an absolute stretch, it is theoretically possible that the device is asking for an SSID (WiFi network name) to compare it against a database of SSIDs. Companies can access a database of WiFi names with an associated location to better estimate the location of a vehicle in the event the tracker cannot see satellites for it's GPS system.

This is the problem. If the problem is not actually a virus or not in an anti virus' definitions, then it's just going to give you a false sense of security.

If you are inexperienced or are unsure about the nature of the infection of breach, the best course of action is to wipe it and start again.

Don't bother with an anti-virus scan if you don't know what you are doing.

Get a professional to backup personal files and format/reset Windows. You may also want to change all of your passwords and use a proper password manager to secure all the new ones. Especially if you are using your browser to store them.

Start with banking, email and anything business related and work your way down the chain of most important accounts to least important.

Unless you can nail down exactly with 100% confidence the type of breach you have suffered, it is not worth mucking around with anything other than the nuclear option. Sorry.
