Michigan voter here. Iām 100% for this! I really hope this passes.
They wait outside for the bus. In the dark. On the side of the road. Itās dangerous.
My daughter gets on the bus at 6:20 am. Itās always dark and we bring a lantern to the bus stop. Iād rather it be dark while sheās at school than come home to darkness.
I helped decorate my kindergartnerās school hallway for reading month and one of the moms brought a balloon arch. It was literally ever kidās favorite decoration. Balloons arches are glorious no matter the occasion.
Sheās teaching her son victim-blaming by reinforcing that his potential as a rapist is this teenagerās fault. Sheās also showing him how to get loud and violent when you donāt get your way.
I remember wanting to wear a really cute tank top when I was that age that was on the mannequin at gap. When I tried to wear it out of the house my dad wouldnāt allow me saying āif someone rapes you, I could never prove in a court that it wasnāt your fault.ā To this day, I think thatās a weird and pretty terrible thing to say to a kid.
Iām so sorry your father said that to you. Those kinds of harsh and horrible comments take a part of your childhood innocence and replaces it with shame real fast and itās just so upsetting.
Thanks. As an adult, I realize that there are things my parents did that I will never do. Im sure my kids will be in the same spot some day, and hopefully each generation will be a little bit better and kinder. Thatās the goal, I think.

As a parent here, I am livid. I've been making calls and sending emails, not only about him, but his wife as well. He's getting his information from his wife who is a secretary.
My daughter is at Farms. Iām super uncomfortable with this guy being such an extremist and having (basically) the gatekeeper of the schoolā the person in charge of pressing the button to unlock and let visitors into the schoolā as his wife. Heās clearly crazy and she clearly will break rules for him. I did my research and voted for better candidates. Iām so annoyed at all the parents and residents who didnāt.
