I’m from Minnesota and would definitely agree. If any fellow Minnesotans don’t, I would love to hear where you go. I would say though that there are guys who will cater what’s called a pig roast, and those have been fairly good from my experience.

I have a more controversial opinion. Adults who complain about kids at Disney world are pathetic. Like I went to a theme park and there were kids there.

Ukraine should challenge Russia to single combat to settle this. Russia can send Seagal, the greatest fighter that ever lived. Ukraine could send a Klitschko. I would watch it on ppv.

If Russia is there I hope my country Canada doesn’t attend.

It is just the summer Olympics anyway. I mean Canada doesn’t exactly dominate when the temps get above freezing.

Seriously though, I agree.

The SEC still hasn’t definitively labeled crypto as securities. I mean they have said that most crypto currencies are securities, but they allow crypto exchanges to offer them, without being licensed as a securities broker. I mean if it isn’t clear to the SEC as to whether coinbase should be allowed to operate, how can we expect Lindsay Lohan to understand the intricacies of the issue.

It seems that more and more these regulators don’t regulate or protect anything. Instead they wait for a failure, and then show up after the fact to cast blame. Like crypto scams have run rampant for a long time, the SEC hasn’t done much. FTX collapses and Lindsay Lohan bears the blame. Ridiculous

They haven’t been wrong yet.

If/when they are wrong, they will likely face a defamation lawsuit; but more importantly it will ruin their reputation. I don’t buy individual stocks, but if I did, I would stay away from the companies they short.

See if you can find a middle ground, like you could email her something like:

“Hi - I was at x event the other night and saw your boyfriend, which reminded me that I haven’t talked to you in awhile. Tell him I said hi, I would have chatted with himself but he was busy dancing with his sister all night. Anyway we should get coffee or something and catch up.”

This way it gives her an out if they have an open relationship, and gives you an out if you misinterpreted anything. Finally, it gives her enough info to figure things out for herself if she wants to.

If someone is hired as fee-only and receives an annual amount, when and where do they profit from the cost of a fund?

Theoretically in your scenario, they don’t. However, if the advisor says we’ll let’s do 90% an S&P 500 index fund, and 10% a bond index fund, and let it ride for 30 years, you might wonder why you are paying the guy. This incentivizes advisors to over complicate.
