People who don't drink alcohol, why? by johnnylgarfield in AskReddit

There does seem to be a distinctive flavor to a good beer. I recently bought a 6 pack of non-alcoholic Guinness, my favorite beer, and the taste just wasn’t the same. The alcohol was definitely part of it even though American Guinness is only like 4%.

If only shrooms were legal and alcohol was illegal. As much as I love alcohol, I would prefer shrooms

It brings the community together. People let their guard down and talk more openly when the alcohol shuts down the part of their brain responsible for inhibition. As long as it’s not abused, it helps people make friends easier. There is a reason that even other primates and mammals also drink alcohol when given the chance. But my wife is pissed at me for drinking too much so what the fuck do I know

The Windows desktop is dying as Microsoft plans to move your desktop to the cloud by CrankyBear in technews

I’m so close to switching to Linux after all the bullshit Microsoft does. I refuse to buy an Xbox even though I am a video game junkie. I don’t have time to list all the ways Microsoft has pissed me off. All the pop ups and ads in their operating systems. Holy shit. They help China keep a dictatorship over their citizens. Can anybody say anything good that Microsoft does for us?

Went through same thing with two different teeth but living in the great land of freedom so I didn’t have any dental or medical insurance. Had to just grit down and bear the pain with nothing but over the counter pain medicine, which did nothing

Just buy the fucker some cheap little earplugs. I have to use them when my wife snores or the nearby highway is too loud. I can still usually hear the alarm clock but it drowns out most sounds

Any suggestions on places to move to? by mason778 in texas

The gulf is connected to the ocean. All the seas creatures in the nearby oceans can come swim in there easily. We’ll need a oceanic philosopher to explain us the real difference between the two

Come check out the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. You’ll probably find a lot more properties out here with lots of acreage to shoot guns/blow stuff up, and you can still drive to the ocean in one day. Pretty easy to find jobs here too

Maybe stay and become involved in the Democratic Party instead? Help those of us who refuse to obey their rules take power. I’ve lived through in Texas my whole life (41 years) and I’m not going to let Fascists take over without a fight

I tried to join the Democratic Party of Tarrant county a few weeks ago, gave them my email and everything, but haven’t heard back yet. I don’t think they are very organized
