I’m probably going to get blasted down for this, but isn’t emotional support by definition a service? One that the dog is supporting, hence the label of service dog? Haven’t we all seen a few freak outs from folks who could have certainly benefited from a comforting pup?
I think this whole thing got out of control when the system was abused to allow service animals of all sorts to be allowed, like service pigs, peacocks, etc. Those pricks can definitely piss off.
