I think the damage number is kind of low and the amount of energy it generates is like a worse Deus Ex Machina. If I had to guess it's a good act 1 card that falls off pretty hard in the later game. It's not really helped by Watcher having like 4 common attacks (Bowling Bash, Crush Joints, Cut Through Fate, and Empty Fist) that are great early pickups that can stay strong into act 4.

I'd argue that Holy Ritual is kinda bad, Blessed Thrust is good but not broken.

So Blue Candle lets you play curses to exhaust them but take 1 damage, Tungsten Rod reduces damage you take by 1, exhausting Necronomicurse returns it to your hand, ink bottle lets you draw a card after playing 10 cards. So in this context you can play Necronomicurse an unlimited # of times and draw an unlimited number of cards.

I'd have to see the rest of the deck to know if you could have a guaranteed infinite, but with unlimited card draw+lots of calm/wrath transitions you might as well have an infinite in a lot of fights.

Against heart idk if this works though since going infinite without a block solution is a loss and this would take an insane amount of chip damage.

All very good points, I think upon further consideration I probably agree but to push back slightly.

For act 1s where you aren't able to path super aggressively. If you're maxed out at 2 elites anyway a lot of decks that could plow through that with Immolate can limp through it with Feed.

You will inevitably take chip damage - fights will on average last a higher number of turns with Feed as your Neow reward than they would with Immolate

You take more chip sure, but you heal for more at every act end, you rest for more, fairy, blood, and regen potions are better. Reaper improves, Exhume goes from good to incredible.

With the exception of Sentries and Slavers, ... landing a Feed against Elites is unlikely.

I would argue that Gremlin Leader can often be stalled against with relatively little punishment, granted you're putting yourself at risk doing this. But if you get him to super low health then you can stall for Feed or just kill and escape if landing it means eating a big attack. That means 50% of act 1-2 elites you can have ok to good odds of landing Feed.

Also a huge amount of max health is a great way of "fixing" late game disaster draws. A great deck can just die if you brick turn 1 draw against Spear and Shield, feeding for 3 acts is insurance.

What's better? You get Feed at run start and you should be landing it at least 3 times an act. Even conservatively you can get to 30 extra hit points. Plus the more hp you get feeding the easier it is to spend some hp to land even more feeds.

It's also not even much of an investment to carry in your deck. It's an adequate early game damage card that heals you and exhausts easily in boss fights.

Best starting card for clad is 100% Feed though
