Six blitzes in two games. 2nd worst pressure rate (44%) despite almost never being blitzed.

Everyone in this thread clamoring for Maye needs to watch the Chicago game tape. Caleb Williams is putting up worse stats than Brissett, with better WR. Why?

I just watched the HOU-CHI tape.

Anyone saying Maye should start must watch Caleb Williams play against the Texans.

Williams, with great WR talent and a bad OL, isn’t thriving. He’s statistically worse than Brissett.

Because blocking matters and the NFL learning curve is steep.

Patience. The Maye plan is going perfectly so far. The next eight weeks or so will be hard but they have a payoff. Trust the Process.

The NFL literally has caps that are scientifically shown to decrease concussions yet guys like Tua refuse to wear them

If there was no risk it would be an entirely different game. If Tua could lead with his helmet and suffer no consequences, the game would NOT be entertaining.

You are not the only football fan conflicted about why you like the game.

Lol. If you were not a fan of the risk, you would not be a fan of the game. The game does not and cannot exist without this risk. It is “part of the deal” we all accept: we will be entertained but the entertainers might get catastrophically injured. (Shout out Mike Utley, who gets remembered on only Thanksgiving).

This is not a “good” game. It is literally killing the players. (Shout out Mike Webster!)

As I said, either celebrate Tua getting paid before the inevitable or lament the Dolphins decision making. Either way, we are both tuning in on Sunday KNOWING that there’s a small risk of some player getting a life-changing injury. No one wants that but we all know it will happen.

That’s the risk of this game and pretending you aren’t “entertained” by it is… just not true.
